Even though political opinions are purely subjective, there is a common ground where you can definitively say what's best based on the context of the problem.

For example, a social issue: Gay marriage. I understand why Social conservatives are against gay marriage, they think it's threatening their idea of what marriage should be, and that is indeed an opinion. However, here's why social liberalism is better than social conservatism in this case:

What two people decide to do with their love life in no way affects you in any way at all, and thinking that you get to say that two men/ women can't get married because you don't like it makes you look like a closed minded bigot.

Economics are much more difficult to explain, namely because I still don't 100% fully understand global economics, and because the situations can be a lot more complicated. All I can say for sure is, the more left wing the government is, the more and more it begins to resemble communism. The government taxes the hell out of you, but offers to help you in any way they can, all the while implementing whatever legal changes they want behind your back, slowly controlling more and more of your life. The reason Economic conservatism dominates the alternative is because it gives you much more freedom to live your life however you so choose. Much lower taxes, and much less help.

Is that enough or do you desire more?

I agree with a little of what you're saying, namely that social conservatives will have to compromise on some social issues if they want to keep any public support. However, that doesn't mean that it's objectively the best position to have and the paragraph about economics was complete bullshit. You admit that you don't know a whole lot about economics but you still claim that you know what's best? Okay.

It looks like you just declared your personal standpoints the master-race without anything to back it up.

Please understand thats as ridiculous a comment as saying that the more right wing a government is the more it resembles fascism. It tantamounts to petty name calling.

While I tend to support socially liberal and fiscally conservative policies and am reluctant to describe my viewpoints as somewhat libertarianish, I don't pretend that I have got it all right and know what I'm talking about. As as been pointed out to you, this is especially true for economics - we don't know what we're talking about so we can't pretend we've stumbled across the right answer.

I mean despite that I support more conservative economic policies, the whole system is rigged up to support state spending and to actually be reliant on it. That's why austerity following the recession was such a bad idea.
