Have you ever been robbed or stolen from?

A few days ago someone came through my neighborhood and stole brand fucking new Nike running shoes, two pairs of shorts, two semi-expensive shirts, and an auxiliary cord from my car. It hasn't really left my mind since actually, and something about it just infuriates me and makes me feel almost violated. Whoever did this stole from a few cars around my neighborhood like my neighbor who had about $700 worth of things stolen.

I didn't have one of my door locked because I live in a nice neighborhood and never had to worry about that kind of thing before or so I thought. It wouldn't matter though if I left the fucking top down and had a neon sign pointing at the car it wouldn't have given him any right to steal from me or anyone else. Now I am constantly thinking about if I have my doors locked and check a few times per day.

This thing is burning me up more than it should because I have even had a dream about catching this guy. In the dream I caught him in the act, forced him to take me to his home, and then I destroyed all his possessions. Of course that was just a dream.

It isn't even about the money; I can go buy some new shoes. It is about the feeling of betrayal somehow that gets me if that makes sense. I don't know if this guy realizes that some redneck around here will catch him in the act eventually and blow his ass away. If the guy keeps doing this shit his luck will run out eventually.

About a year or so ago, I left my car out front of a friend's place and inadvertently left my car unlocked. When I came out I realised someone had been through my car and had ruffled through papers on the passenger floor, left the glovebox open and went through the centre console. But the joke was on them really, cause my car was already a messy piece of shit, and the only things of any value that I might have left in the car were on my person, namely my Ray Ban sunglasses and my iPhone. So all they really did was waste time they could have spent more productively trying to steal out of other people's cars.

And the only time I've been close to a robbery was when I drunkenly stumbled into a convenience store to buy a packet of cigarettes about a minute after someone had held it up.

I guess I'm just lucky.

When we did a school trip to Rome last year our teacher first told us to keep an eye on our stuff, because due to the many tourists it's like heaven for pickpockets. Guess who was the only one to have something stolen from him? Right. The teacher.

Never successfully, but I've had a few attempts. Even standing up to the robber doesn't alleviate your frustration and you still want to kill 'em.

Btw robbery involves violence or the threat of violence, I believe you were a victim of theft or burglary.

Once when I was younger someone stole a computer or game console from my house while none of us were there but I can't remember the full details of that anymore.

Two people tried to pickpocket my brother when we were in Paris a month or two ago. Both were amateurs and the second one was a really bad amateur (he tried to do it while we were on the eiffel tower lol)

When I was in 3rd or 4th grade someone stole my Game Boy Micro and some Game Boy Advance games. One of them was Pokemon LeafGreen. Oh fuck was that horrible. I had so much of the PokeDex completed.

I'm not 100% sure someone stole it. I think there might have been a hole in the backpack and the shit fell out of it. Only some of the games were missing, not all of them. I don't remember exactly.
