Wow 25 million views! That's crazy. I've never seen it until now. It's great that nowadays people's accomplisments will live on the internet indefinitely.
RIP little man. You had great talent, and it's a shame the world won't be able to see the rest of it.
God Bless You!

oh wow, skullkid was one of the earliest games I remember playing on ng. he was lucky to have left such a legacy.
Rest in piece. I don't really know what else to say since I've never heard of him. It's sad that he had to die so young.
Very sorry to hear about this. Guy was obviously talented at a young age and Skullkid was one of those productions that helped establish NG back in the day. RIP

I once remember playing that demo and my thoughts were that this is going to be one of the best point and click adventure game. Now it's all lost. I always wanted another Skullkid game, beacuse the original was somewhat short and I always wanted to do some more sawing.

Crap, I loved that game back in my younger days. Very upset to hear that he has passed away. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
Yeah, whatever.
The amount of classic Newgrounds animators we've been losing is really unnerving. Hopefully this encourages more people to get out there and work on that big project, because you never know if you'll actually ever get to submit it.. And yes, Skullkid was one of the first games I'd ever played upon discovering Newgrounds. Great way to set a tone!
RIP Chance Banning
I remembered playing Skullkid when I was 12, pretty weird if you ask me. But anyway, RIP Chance!
Its a shame... At least we're fortunate enough to be able to share and enjoy his footprint on the world.
May his creations continue to live on!

Do shit.
EXACTLY.

Chance would have been around 16 when he uploaded the skullkid, which went on to be a huge hit in the early years of the Portal. His last upload was the Aidan's Wonder demo in 2010, a really promising game that unfortunately won't be finished.
I'm never very good at making these posts so I'll just leave you with this video that speaks better than I can:

Alas, the wings of death constantly pull away those we admire. But, if we wish to keep their memories in place, we must
become like our heroes, and take their place! Who knows what amazing new artist and game developers will appear soon? I mean, I just joined a few days back, and am in the process of making my own game. (though it'll have to go through major resource shrinking before making its entrance.) What I'm trying to say is, they probably left wanting us to make sure their memories, funny and nice animations/games, and influence toward the community didn't die as well.
Long live newgrounds.
It is very terrible that he has ended his journey so soon, but let us rejoice in the fact that he will forever be rejoicing in thugtopia and one day when we thug hard enough our time will come too.
Awhman, much respect. Chance Banning gave me some good times as a kid.
I remember playing this when I was younger and it, along with other flash games, got me to join Newgrounds. Sad he had to go like that, and at a fairly young age too. RIP.
so sad to hear another Artist passed R.I.P Randy Eddy there are so many that I miss always thinking of them

I remember that game (SkullKid) when it came out. My sincerest condoles to his family and friends. I'm glad he lived an active life, and positively influenced the world, in which he was a part of. Thanks for being a part of the greater Newgrounds community Chance, we will remember you.
