the skullkid

We're featuring the skullkid on the front page today in honor of Chance Banning, aka korded, who passed away last month in an accident at age 27.

Chance would have been around 16 when he uploaded the skullkid, which went on to be a huge hit in the early years of the Portal. His last upload was the Aidan's Wonder demo in 2010, a really promising game that unfortunately won't be finished.

Well a fountain of youth wouldn't really assist seeing as he died due to an accident, rather than old age.

Never heard of him, nor have I viewed his content, but any member of Newgrounds passing is always a disappointment.

Skullkid is one of those games I'll always remember when I think back at this place when I first arrived here, will give it another go in tribute... though the considerable carnage doesn't really seem to befit the situation, beautiful music in that video though.

Oh damn... I was just looking at Aidan's Wonder (because of skull kid being front paged) and it looked like a really cool idea and game. I was wondering if he was going to release then I see this D: . Damn I've loved skull kid for so long and I was excited that he was making a new game. Fuck if only so many great artists didn't die young.
