So Shamalamadingdong made another stinker.
What a surprise.
Fuck that guy.
his only good movies feature bruce willis
it has been over 13 years since he's made a good film
this really isn't very surprising at all
What a miserable disappointment his film career turned out to be.
I fucking loved Unbreakable. That was a great movie.
It's hard to believe that same guy made The Happening.

it's a shame unbreakable wasn't a big enough success to warrant the original planned trilogy
what do you expect from Shalalamadingdong?
Does he even care that his movies suck and get bad reviews?
He doesn't seem to be trying to make them any better.

He's probably just an asshole who thinks anything he puts out is gold, no matter what anybody says.
Remember when he had that film critic character in Lady in the Water? Who's made to look like an asshole because he presumes to know plot structure, and is the only character who gets killed?
He'd rather just turn critics into strawmen assholes than make better movies.
He also cast himself as a guy who will write a book that will save mankind.
Total shithead.
I'm a single father and a multimillionaire.
So not even Will Smith could save this?

What am I getting at here? It's ok to judge whether or not you should go see a movie off critical reviews, but to base your own opinion off them without even seeing the movie is stupid.
Go see the film and make your own judgments.
Travis is right about the meter at least

72 fresh
TERRIBLE movie, like a less exciting Cloverfield.

I'm not going to see this until it comes to cable, so I'll just take the word of the majority for now.
Hasn't he learned after his avatar airbender 'movie'?

Look at shaladongs movies in the past 10 years and the airbender movie. It speaks for itself regardless that it has will smith its a M night shalyman movie.

That would be a great TWIST if shalyman could make better movies, he's no better than Uwe Boll.

None but if I did they would be a hell lot better than these shmucks.

Because he has to make a movie before he can have an opinion on a film?
do ng "movies" count as making movies
i would like to change my aura to filmmaker

1. Its a m night it fails automatically.
2. The critics who go to premieres before it gets released are far more reliable on their reviews.
3. I don't need to see a movie to know it will suxk I just need to see the trailer who's acting and directing it.
i just went ahead and made the plunge in case anyone was stressing themselves out

Who the hell is still giving this guy money to make movies?

Leave.
Its logical if you want to see a M night movie your better off just watching it for free or torrenting than give that asshole money.
At 5/31/13 12:11 AM, TB1ZZL3 wrote: Who the hell is still giving this guy money to make movies?
Will Smith presumably.
Sup?
It's Jaden Smith's $150 million birthday present, what did you expect?
It's appalling that the guy still has a budget to crank out another cryostasis bore fest and Will Smith should be ashamed and embarrassed for being a part of this steaming pile of neanderthal sized waste.
Still, it's always another opportunity to get together with friends, drunk some beer, shoot the shit and make fun of this atrocious abortion, so not all is lost.

M Night has already gotten his money from the studio publishing the work, you aren't paying him.
Wrong. He gets money to make his shit movies they go to the big screen and the money from the showings go to
Movie company to get their money back and usually to be successful the movie earnings have to be two and half more to be successful with at least good reviews. Its a cycle.

Looking back at RT, it seems the audiences love it though, which is actually kind of surprising seeing how low the critic reviews are.

That's how it always is. Critics actually pay attention, and rate it twice as bad as it is.
Regular people see Will Smith on the poster and immediately go, "Oh hidie didie das a good moovie right dere, it has a famous actor in it!"
Sigh.
Anyway, I didn't really have any intention of seeing that movie anyway. You'd think Will Smith would realize that with every scifi movie he's involved in, they slowly get worse and worse.
Although, I bet the more emotional scenes are really good because of the bond Will and his kid (hopefully) share together.
But I honestly have no idea.
