Did any of you guys ever read of the Animorph books when you were younger? If so, did you like them? I was just thinking about them today and was curious if any of you guys were into the series...

Morphing into a duck is the lamest one. It's all about the cat. Also, wasn't there a TV series?

Yes, and I can't remember clearly but I think I found some of the female morph covers to be quite erotic. I might be a closet furry.

Best morph ever.
Why???
When did that ever come in handy?

If you were a ninja and ran out of throwing stars you could throw her instead.

I remember seeing them all over the place but I don't think I've ever read them. I bet the author made a lot of money on them though.

How many of you noticed that you could flip through the pages of the book and watch the the person morph into an animal flip book style?

To be honest, I never really read the books. I just picked one up, flipped the pages a couple of times to see the morph, then just toss the book aside. Then I would pick up the next one, then do the same thing.

Funny I was going to make this exact same thread a couple days ago because I had mentioned it in a research paper I had to do.

Anyways I swear that Animorphs was a show on Nickelodeon at one time (but i think it was just a crazy dream I had) but i can almost most remember watching an episode on TV in detail which is strange. This was wayy before Harry Potter became so pop and made me want to read.

I recall reading one of the special additions about an alien named Tobias and some slugs that were taking over peoples minds like a parasite. that was interesting; and so is the whole concept that Animorphs is based on.

Umm, I think I remember that shit. I think Tobias' character was the 'drug addict' parallel. He used his powers 'too much', so he became stuck in the form of an eagle for the rest of his life. The obvious pun, "he is sky high," came to mind.

All i ever did with those books was flip through all the pages really fast and watch the kid transform into an animal in the bottom right/left corners

I've never read the Animorphs series. The book covers scared me. But I did enjoy Goosebumps.

I read it as a child. It was average and predictable.

I have several books from the series, as well as The Hork-Bajir Chronicles. I got into them in elementary school when I was looking for a book in the library for my AR grade. I found one, read it, and was hooked. From then I read several of the books from the series that the school library had. I miss those books

Now if only I could find my copies so I can read them again...

Animorphs had a short lived series on Nickelodeon and got cancelled, sadly

I recall reading one of the special additions about an alien named Tobias and some slugs that were taking over peoples minds like a parasite.

Tobias was a human boy that got stuck in morph. He did regain his morphing powers, but his main form was no longer his human self

The slugs were called Yeerks and were pretty much alien parasites

Actually, he was a red-tailed hawk

The alien's name was Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill. Ax for short

Now time for major nostalgia
