I'm starting by making three playable classes:
theif
mage
fighter
I'm using IG maker so I hope to port the game to Xbox thus allowing multiplayer
only thing is I'm terrible at level design.
I've finished working on the theif sprites and the mage shouldn't be hard, but the warrior... the warrior will be tricky for me.
I'm loosely basing the sprite style off the tales of --- series. however gameplay will be totally different.
I want there to be an element of exploration and I will likely make the map flow like metroid, most likely replacing the space craft with an airship and junk.
I'm looking to make the game fun and playable, but I need help.
If anyone could show me some graphics I could use for stuff like backgrounds or sidescrolling tilesets it would make all the difference for me and I could finally get things moving with this game.
the working tittle is theifmagefighter
I'll include some character previews for good measure.
I should add that open to work with artists of any medium on this and give full credit. also Id like to hear suggestions for what you would want to see in a game like this. thank you..
Of course, you do know that you'd require a known publisher to get anything ported to the XBL Arcade, right? So if you want to make things a lot easier for yourself. Don't bother with IG Maker, unless you actually know what you're doing.
I could help with voice acting if you ever feel the need for it :3

well, actually that's true if I were going to try and get it on the market place, I would need a publisher for that..
but, I'm not necessarily looking to do that. you can join the xna developer's team and export XNA files from Ig MAKER.
it costs 100 bucks for a year membership so I would only do this upon game's completion.

Possibly, I'm going to need a large array of sound effects and voice samples so right on I'll get a list of actions for the sounds we would need recorded.
