Hello fellow Newgrounders,
I have noticed that there has been a lack of excitement recently on this site. Don't get me wrong, I love Newgrounds and enjoy almost every animation, game, song, or art I've seen on here. But I have recently had an idea that could cause quite some enjoyment here, and would get many people involved in a new idea.
Though it may be almost an impossible thing for someone as myself to pull off, I wish to organize an Animation Tournament. Now, I am sure this may have happened before, in fact I am nearly positive (please comment if you know whether it has), yet I wish for it to happen once again in case it has. But, being as low of a rank on Newgrounds as I am, I will need several assistants to help me organize such a large event, in case it ever does happen.
What I am looking for is a group of people who are strong within the Newgrounds community, anyone who is very capable of sorting out a large event. It doesn't matter who you are, and I don't care how much of a goofball you are, as long as you know how to get things done. Now then, here is my plan for the tournament.
It will be a storyline tournament, where all participants will start at the same scenario and main character(s). They will create whatever they choose from the storyline, as long as it is planned to last long enough until the end of the tournament. Non-participants will view the videos and vote on the 1-5 scale that is on every video on Newgrounds. On a certain date, one of the tournament organizers will view the videos to see which one of two has the greater vote, and that video which is greater will move on to the next round.
