figureing personality of characters

Let's say ay want to make a tribute,parody,referances of charaters such as Homer Simpson,Bender,Joker,Peter Griffen,Cartman end etc.I want to make them to be just like in the TV show with voices,jokes,personality and not that crap with Saying Sh** ,them geting killed,raped and you know Newgrounds stuff just your regular favorite Tv Show in flash tell what is the right secret of captureing the personallity of the characters pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The best place to ask this question, would be the writing forum.

I'll say this though: You have to find one or two hard-to-miss qualities of each character, and use them, every way you can.

What VicariousE said. I'd say the best way is to place yourself in their mindest though, either that or just copy the core of their physical persona, the things they often say, the actions they often do, etc. All main characters have a set of moves/quotes you relate to them.
