Is there a way users pages can show how many views (and replies) it receives? is there a way for the review protocols be implemented into blogs, so double/triple/quadruple posts can finally be a thing of the past? I caught you (Tom) double posting (and properly apologizing).... who's responsible for fixing this?
Still (sometimes) getting a 504, "Newgrounds is down at the moment..", when I check the bbs/blog updates, right below your newspost on the Front Page. This concludes my griping :)
Yeah despite grudges against certain networks I feel like we should be wherever our fans are, we'd basically be idiots to expect that every NG fan comes and checks on NG every day, whereas there are lots of NG fans who are checking their Facebook, Tumblr, Google and Twitter feeds every day, so we should keep them in the loop.
I would LOVE for user pages to show views for the page and individual posts. I'm hoping we still get that popped in, I'd like to do a big overhaul to stats in general so everyone can view graphs of their daily / weekly / monthly / all time views for just about anything that have on the site. Also the double posting SHOULD be fixed - have you noticed in the past week? I did see someone multi-post once since the fix, so not sure what happened there, but the post button should turn grey now when you click it. There may still be issues with it hanging when you post, because the feeds system needs some performance improvements. This is also what is causing those 504 errors - when you try to access your feed it sometimes times out. I've been experiencing that too and a feed system update is being planned.
Nice to hear this HTML5 push is wrapping up.
There was some pretty unanimous hate for HTML 5 at FGS, and I can name a couple good Newgrounders workin on Unity games RIGHT NOW TODAY!

You can publish a Unity game with the ZIP upload feature set up for HTML5 games, although we're still gonna do a more direct Unity support option. Also gotta just open it up for everyone so they don't have to ask for permission.

Unity looks like it's starting to ramp up.
With games like Surgeon Simulator going viral and the whole fact it's 3d, it's certainly got potential.

GAMES YOU'VE HEARD OF up in this shit, ontop of Slender, Kentucky Route Zero, Temple Run 2, Lovers In A Dangerous Space-Time, Pid, etc etc.
Exports to god damn everything, you can put a chunk of the paid download game straight up on Newgrounds.
I'm gonna try n finish a small physics-based joke game on the weekend, if I don't have too much other work.
@TomFulp
What happened to the "refer out" links? Did you remove that feature?
Because I just noticed that I get a "ERROR - Pkmn2 does not have a website on record." error whenever I click on my refer out links.

The Newgrounds tumblr page, far as I can tell, is about posting updates from interesting or popular creations/artists, along with a short comment on the contents.
This is the exact same service the Frontpage provides.
It breaks the succession of horse-themed bondage pornography that usually fills my dashboard, but there's no real reason to follow the blog, itself.

Oh well...Better luck next time, eh, Newgrounds? But in all seriousness, I really do not care for Tumblr. It's hard to get followers, you end up having to kiss more ass than your getting kissed in return...The community is just AWFUL.

I visit Tumblr more than I check the home page so don't knock it because it doesn't work for you

But that's the thing...It DOESN'T EVEN WORK FOR ME. I have tried to get a decent number of followers. Know how many it took just to get seven? A month. Yeah, a fucking MONTH. Tell me again it works.

So what? I've got a few but they're mostly just people from my art course. Don't ever go anywhere expecting to get a following; people like to make their own decisions online. I'm telling you it works because I can follow artists there who I like, and so can you.
Also Tom I wanted to say I got round to using swivel for a thing at college the other day and it's one of the best bits of software I've ever used, thankyou again.

Even so, is it too much to ask for at least a few hundred followers over a year? That would be nice. I mean, I'm not asking for much, just some recognition for my hard work.

Yes it is too much to ask for it - you should go out and earn it.

but why do you feel you need more followers though
i mean i get wanting people to see what you make but it sounds like you just want them just to have them

I'm getting the strangest feeling that by saying "go out and earn it" he didn't mean "find a different site to post your work to".
Try exposing yourself to the real world. Find yourself a lot of different creative outlets. Don't expect people to flood to your work without you doing a little promoting. If you're unknown, you won't magically become known by doing nothing.
But, most importantly, don't let the number of followers influence your output. Artists and creators of different mediums don't do what they do for exposure and notoriety. They do what they do because they enjoy doing it.
Anyone doing it for the fame isn't in it for the right reasons, and probably won't go as far as they could have had they been invested in their work.
Do your work for you. Not for everyone else.
