It's all about adjusting the flow and opacity to pen pressure and going in with a hard brush ( adjusting opacity to 30%-80% while you draw) then to blend even further you do the same with a soft brush adjusting opacity to around 20%-30%. All while doing this I am using the color picker in between almost every other brush stroke to blend to the adjacent color. Hope this helps!

had to readjust some things, but after a few more hours I've almost completed the mouth! tedious stuff.

Still a long way to go, but here is what I have so far.

To keep some variety in here I'm gonna upload some other artwork of mine ;P

Here's a little study I did of yoda to try and grasp color & value and understand it a little better.
