What's your education background. The reason I'm posting this here is because, well, I know what to expect from the General forum. Here could be more interesting.

I graduated in 2010 with an Associate in Arts and Science degree from Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington. My major was in multimedia, but I had a well-rounded education, including courses in engineering, sociology, and political science.
Unfortunately that degree hasn't been very effective in the working world; there's almost no media industry where I live, and it's hard to compete for what little there is with a two-year degree from a community college - which incidentally could also be getting in the way of finding entry-level work. (I honestly can't say for sure.) The college doesn't have a great reputation, either; only 30% of students graduate.
So now I'm looking at state universities to get my baccalaureate, probably in the field of business, which is projected to be one of the fastest-growing fields in the state. University of Washington would be preferable, but Western Washington University or Washington State University in Vancouver are options as well.

I am about to graduate as a senior from public high-school with a ( More or less ) 2.0 - 2.5 GPA. I will then go and try to pursue film making, screenplay writing, and other forms of media entertainment.
Yay.

At the moment, I attend community college because I didn't do so well in high school. However, my gpa is 3.9 as of now and I'm pretty much slated to gain acceptance to most, if not all, of the elite universities that that I will apply to later this year. I'm in my school's honors program if that matters.
I'll be done with my second year of college this coming fall semester. Wish me luck when I start applying!

Yeah... I'm not too sure what that will have a decent possibility that will land me in solid job that I WANT to do, preferably something in that field.

I started out with a BA in journalism while minoring in English. During my senior year of college, I got disillusioned with what was becoming of the field, so I applied for grad school, and got a Master's in library science. Worked at a library for almost a year before getting laid off due to the budget ax. Went back to grad school, this time for a degree in applied intelligence. Have a job in the field now. No, I am not working for one of the three-letter agencies or the government. I'm more in the corporate security field.

Fair enough but if you learn how to build shit and put stuff together your chances of serving the collapse will become real good.

I did fantastic in high school and graduated with an A average in all of my classes. I got a full scholarship to a community college and did 19 credit hours while working a job and still managed a 3.8 GPA. This is with taking math and English in the same semester.
But, I am burnt out of school now so I quit and joined the Air Force. Made a 91 on the ASVAB and signed up for all intelligence jobs.

Dropped out of highschool, went to work as a dive tender on an oil rig in the Atlantic Ocean off Sable Island.
My dive master recommended I go take a MED certification course (Marine Emergency Duties) I also enrolled in the nauticle rigging couse, 9 months of combined classroom & rigging shop & placements on ships.
3 years sailing for Gulf Oil, with a training course for Marine Engineering training.
Left the sea & went into the construction industry ( to help pay the bills) , while simultaneously doing rigging in arenas & open air venues for the entertainment industry.
Up graded rigging to entertainment/stage rigging.
Opened a rigging company
30 years later ... one of a small group of East Coast Canadian entertainment riggers, only one with my own rigging company specific to motion picture entertainment rigging .
With lately a move to remote operated camera platform systems & presently involved in remotely flying camera systems for the entertainment industry.
So very little education ...really fun job ~:D

I went to a primary school in a fairly small Scottish village. Being ratehr insignificant, I didn't exactly get the best education possible, but I learned shit, and the teachers at least actually cared about the education of the students, which is better than one can say for some schools. Most of the shit was in textbooks or just part of the system, so I don't think it mattered in the long run.
Now I'm going to Buckhaven High School, which is pretty much the go-to highschool in our area. It's hardly the biggest or fanciest schools in Scotland, but still probably one of the best, especially in terms of sport. I'm pretty much considered the "nerd" of our year, which is odd because I'm by no means the smartest of our year. Hell, I'm not even as much of a loner or as unfit as I was back at the start of highschool, but I guess the image people have of you just sticks no matter how much you try and wash it away.
Or maybe it's the glasses idk

I graduated from a public high school in 2011 and attended Miami University for a year. My Major was History. I took this last year off from school to raise funds and focus on other aspects of my life. I'm hoping to get back to school in the Fall with a focus on broadcasting.

BA (Hons) in English Language and Creative Writing. Later did an NCTJ diploma - essentially the industry standard certification for journalists in the UK. Then went into the slightly different but surprisingly related field of SEO and online copywriting. Looking back, the average journalist does scummy things and I would've done so too.

Waiting for my last year of high school to end (don't know what my GPA currently is, but having taken 5 AP courses this year should help it a bit - it was around 3.4-3.5ish last time I checked; it should've been higher but I dicked around too much in a couple classes). I'm all set to go to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte next year in the Mechanical Engineering major. I would also like to add that the primary and secondary public education system here in the U.S. is a circus. It does very little to help with our education and has been more detrimental to earning a decent education.

From what I've heard, you can't really do much with a History major.
