This is obviously a result of bad parenting, who would gives a gun to an irresponsible kid with mental disorder? I've been playing video games since I was 8 and guess what? I didn't turn into a murderer; the kid obviously had a problem before he even touched the controller for a first time. Furthermore video games are being used to improve lives of sick children in hospital and as a form of physical therapy and it works, a world is a better place with video games.

Thing is, you'd have to be an incredibly deluded and unstable person to be unable to detach yourself from an in-game mentality when pressed with a real-life situation. Video games make you crave violence. Thinking that the plessure you gain from volience is limited to simulated violence because you understand the backlash of real World violence doesn't mean you're not still situmulated by violence. You're brain tricking your brain to believe what you're doing is real. This is why more realistic games are better for immersion.
