Personally I don't really care. The country has nothing to do with who wins the playoffs. It would be childish to cry about it. Personally, I've been rooting for Pittsburgh and San Jose ever since Montreal was eliminated. Am I sad about it? Not really. The better teams deserve the better awards.
I'm hoping San Jose will tie it up at home tomorrow then dominate in Game 7 after that. They've got excellent potential and could probably fare well against both Detroit or Chicago.
Andrew Shaw is the catalyst for the Blackhawks tonight as they net two power play goals and extend their series against Detroit to a sixth game. The Bruins also finish up business against the Rangers with a 3-1 at home to move on to the eastern conference final.
As of today's game we now know the matchup for the eastern conference final!
1. Pittsburgh Penguins vs. 4. Boston Bruins

The Sharks put on a strong display at home and earn a 2-1 victory against the Kings to force a game 7 back in Los Angeles. San Jose continues its impressive home power play, scoring on a 5-on-3 opportunity in the first period; a second period goal that put the Sharks up 2-0 was the difference even though LA managed to make it 2-1 shortly after.
Tomorrow's only game is game 6 between the Blackhawks and Red Wings from Detroit. Detroit can advance to the western conference final with a win, while the Blackhawks can force a game 7 back at the Madhouse with a victory.

Hawks vs Wings, which team will win game 6?
If Wings don't end it tonight, can they win it in game 7 or do you think that a game 7 would favor a Hawks win?
I bleed Orange, Green, and Red.
Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers.

I'm not here to argue about silly semantics and what to call who, but last time I checked, people from the U.S.A are called Americans, and people from Canada are called Canadians, and most everyone knows that and accepts that, so your point is null and void at this point.
Anyways, in the Eastern Conference Finals, I have the Pens winning it in 6 games, and in the West, I have the Kings winning Game 7 at their place. Considering that the Sharks and Kings have held serve in their home ice, I don't really expect anything different this time, especially from a Sharks team that tends to turn into chum around this time.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Hawks take it in game 7 at their home or Redwings? I think smart money is betting on home team, but with the way the RedWings have played tough the entire playoffs, it's hard to count them out of it.

It's anyone's series. I'm just curious to see if the Sharks v. Kings series goes to seven games as well. If that happens, that means that the West will be way behind the East in terms of wrapping up their series.

Any serious injuries that the public knows of in Kings/Sharks series?

Thanks a lot Burns! Your stupid play just cost us the series. Another early-mid exit from the playoffs that Sharks fans are accustomed to. Let's hope the Kings lose the third round quickly.
I know it's early in the second period right now but let's be realistic here.
And just like that, the Kings pull out a game 7 victory at home, which really wasn't much of a surprise considering that the home team has won every game of that series, and the Sharks' history of falling apart around this time. The power of the King is still strong in the NHL playoffs.
Next up is Red Wings vs. Blackhawks, the last dance before they go to separate conferences next season. With all due respect to the Wings, I do predict that the Hawks will win Game 7 at their place.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
The Sharks make a push late, but two goals from Justin Williams are enough to put the Kings past San Jose in game 7 to advance to their second consecutive western conference final appearance. Los Angeles will play the winner of tomorrow night's game 7 between the Blackhawks and Red Wings.
An interesting note: if the Red Wings win, LA gets home ice advantage where they are undefeated this postseason; if the Blackhawks win, LA will start on the road where they are just 1-5.

Hawks have only lost one home game in post seas.. Johnny needs to stay chill (cuz u kno there gonna go after him again) and Corey needs to not fall apart in the third... and all will be good =)

I rooted for the Sharks.
The Sharks lost.
Seems like every time I root for loses.
Damn, goodbye San Jose. I can just see Pittsburgh getting beat out by Boston, which I am really hoping for not to happen.

I'm a Flyers fan, so i really hope this happens. I'm getting sick of seeing Penguins go all the way because my Flyers aren't there to stop them.

I have the Blackhawks winning in 7 games, purely due to home-ice advantage. Probably one of the few times in recent memory where home-ice was an actual advantage.
Eastern Conference Final
1. Pittsburgh Penguins vs. 4. Boston Bruins
Penguins in 6 games. Pittsburgh is simply the better team top to bottom, with the possible exception of goalie. That said, Penguins can score a lot of goals on a consistent basis, while the Bruins can not. {except against a Canadian-based team}

that penalty call that cost the Hawks a goal was complete bullshit, but they fought to prove they were the better team. go Hawks.
i have to admit though, that Wings goal was some sick shit.
I rooted for Chicago...
Chicago won.
Note: I am ALWAYS wrong.
