Uhhhh... use your brain. Using your brain is something non retarded people are incredible at doing. Seriously kid, be creative.

At this point though, Fucking Retarded is sounding pretty good.

Taken is kind of cool. Play with words and puns a little. I thought Thelonious Punk was really cool until I found out some punk band already thought of it. Tron Javolta is probably the best pun name ever. Gnarles Barkley. Thing is, if your an artist you should be able to think of your own name on your own. Be an artist. Have a sense of creativity :/

Take two cool words, use a thesaurus, it'll show you two cool words.

I go by Daydream Anatomy.

Let's see... mines are:

Halcyonic Falcon X

How I got that one, it's partially because the Falcon is my favorite animal. Reason 2 is a secret to everyone still. ;)

Phyrnna

Random name I made for a roleplay and it stuck. It's also unique so that anytime you google it, you get my stuff. :p

Damn, you're right on that one. Alright. Try it out. Just giving you a heads up though: the band/artist name affects the way in which people view you and your body of work. Put a little thought into it and come out with something that means something to you. If your going to pick the name of a song for your name make sure the name is PERFECT for what you do. Dunno. Good luck dude.

StaticBlu

Lets see, Electricity is my favorite superpower, so I thought of some words that represented it such as Plasma,Electric, Photon, Static etc. Eventually I chose static because it has a better ring to it like in Static Shock

I got the blu by my favorite color and took out the E because it made it more memorably and more original than using the actual spelling

I would suggest making a list of words that sound interesting to you and or define your certain interests and then lay around with some just to help narrow it down.

I like my name cause it's vague and no one knows how to pronounce it.

For me:
LichLord - A Lich is an Awesome concept, powerful undead sorcerer who are so powerful that while their body rots their soul and magic remain undead and anchored to Earth. Make it a Lord of Liches and well there you go! It fits as a name for Metal and Electro Industrial fairly well and probably a few other genres which sound nasty and/or dystopian.

Angelstomp - This one is pretty Diablo-Influenced. Never really liked anything which spawned out of the High Heavens that much, keep imagining that if I ever get an album cover done it would probably be of Imperius getting beheaded. Plus it sounds like a Metal band name which is a plus!

Basically, think of something you like, think of the typical naming structure for the genre you make your tracks in and there you go!

At least you didn't name yourself Old Yeller. Then we'd have to put you down.

Well to be perfectly fair if that's the pronunciation given to 'Lasse', then you'd be able to do the same trick as ParagonX9 -- call yourself a lassie!

To be perfectly fair though... Buranovskiye Babushki not only 1) got away with having old people's names, but also 2) made hilarious folk music and 3) had a miniature granny which was just so adorable. <3

But what kind of name are you going for though?

I bring tidings of short and catchy:

"beefcake", "saltyflamingo", "tittytassels" (don't tell me you wouldn't buy that record by merit of that name alone), "grooveygrenade", "tap-dancing termite", and finally.."pickle"

Also, the best band/artist/dj names come organically, but you could always use one of these
