Dad's Game Code 1979 What Language?

My dad showed me a paper of code from a card game he made when he was in Highschool in 1979, and I was wondering what coding language this was ?

I believe this to be BASIC. Not sure though, I wasn't alive at that point.

Yes, like you said it was BASIC.
It was programmed on the C64 with BASIC.

So it was written some time after 1982 then, seeing as that's when the Commodore 64 was released.
I have a C64 lying about that I've considered trying to develop something on just for the fun of it but it seems like more hassle than it's worth. Especially when I'd be using cassette tapes for data storage. I also have a book somewhere from the early 80's that's basically a kids "introduction" to programming. I'm sure it even had a section on games programming with an assembly language.
