I can't seem to view videos

I have no problem running flash games, nor anything else with some code on the website. For instance, this is no problem, but this will only play audio - no video!

This has been going on for a long time, maybe since the update.

HOWEVER, I've only tried Chrome and Firefox. Firefox seems to play them just fine, but the browser is incredibly slow on my computer. Chrome just gives me black with audio, as well as the bar on the bottom when I hover over the submission.

Any ideas?

If the browser is incredibly slow I'm guessing you have an old computer, maybe the system can't handle the MP4 player? It does require some extra juice compared to regular flash. No idea what the problem could be otherwise, or what you could do to solve it. :/

Cyberdevil might be right on this one. What are your computer specs? And is your flash player up to date?

My computer is insanely qualified in every category, and everything else runs like a dream. My flash player is also up to date.

Like I said, the audio runs smoothly, but the video doesn't show up. This is only in Chrome.

I have no issues on other websites (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc) so I assume it's something on my Chrome browser specifically that is handling it oddly.
I'm going to try a few more things.

I'm not sure what was causing the issue, but I just reinstalled Chrome and VOILA!
All is well.

Some plugin incomparability maybe? Glad it worked out!

That's the weird thing - I had disabled all plugins and extensions and everything as my first potential fix. But it didn't work!

I'm really not sure what was going on, but I'm glad it's over. I can finally judge new submissions again!
