Point is my story needs work. The story will be acted out by me and already has been filmed. Just needs to be edited right now.
So basically I walk into an alley, and hear noises and I look around and I see lots of monsters around me. Im not scare until I look at my shadow on the wall and it comes out then it walks towards me. I get back and run into it hitting it against a wall
pass out and wake up on the floor, beside the wall. I look up and see that its now just a painting of the shadow monster on the wall so I get out my spray paints and paint something over it. Then I walk away.
At first I wanted to convey the message of facing your fears, but that seemed very cliche. I dont know what to do with it.
Thoughts?

Typically, I would have always started with an idea first - something to build the film around. But facing your fears is never a bad thing to base a film around - it's too broad to be cliche, as long as you portray it in an original and compelling manner. If you did want to base it around that, ask yourself what your character is afraid of in the alleyway, and build around that.
Hope this helped. If not, sorry.

Kind of did. Old age might be something I could explore.
Its just in one of the scenes my character is meant to be face to face with one of the fears, and he takes a step back and runs into, slamming it against a wall.

Didn't you say it was already filmed? Kind of too late to changing anything now, right?
