shinji mikami's game company and bethesda team up to make this game.

I really cant wait, I'm hoping it'll be a awesome return to survival horror games. Also, it's nice seeing west and east game devs and publishers teaming up together.

Will the Bethesda curse live on?
Will this game be a type of love letter to old school horror games?

I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Finally some new info. I really hope it's TRUE Survival Horror. Not Re4 "survival horror".

Though I'm extremely optimistic. I'm surprised i'm still capable of thinking positively after the disaster of Revelations in which I expected true Survival Horror and got half assed re4 like bullshit.

Update: Screenshots and oh boy it kinda looks like RE4.....yay......................

So much for Survival Horror....but hey who knows. It could surprise us...or actually be a good action horror game. Better than re6 atleast. wishfully speaking....

I can't believe I was expecting like Haunting Ground, REmake, Clock Tower type stuff..... of course not. It'd be too good to be true.

But in one of the pictures, you see the main character in a stealth like crouch.
I think stealth in a horror game is very necessary and its something all horror games are missing at this point.

I don't really care about the "horror" genre. Just survival horror. It's just an assumption right now but this new game could end up being another re4 with SOME stealth. Stealth doesn't make it survival horror. Nor is it really neccesary for the horror genre per say. You didn't use stealth in the original RE games.

RE6 had some stealth bits in Jake and Sherry's campaign but it doesn't make it a better game.

Has anybody else theorized that nothing is considered "scary" or even "remotely frightening" anymore unless it contains a large amount of gore?
