Three, and there's no such thing as "only" any amount of deaths when it comes to senseless acts of violence like this. Especially when one of those deaths is a goddamn child. And there are many more people who are injured and still in critical condition.

Now fuck off, troll.

Good thing they didn't have any to begin with.

Some comments down there about a load, gay people, rebels, and shit.

You do realize that's YouTube and the comments sections generally breeds idiots who knew that as long they're behind the screen, they can spew out crap right?

If they are real, I wouldn't be surprised if it's those WBC Youth members since they are generally unhinged.

I mostly read them for the sports section and Sean Delonas' troll cartoons. Remember they made a tribute editorial for Pinochet for crying out loud, tells you something.

Yeah, that's why my family still gets the Post, too. Plus the headlines are usually entertaining in their own perverse way.

I remember back in 2003 when one of the top ranking member of a mafia was killed because he's a homosexual, the Post made a headline called, "Fairy Godfather!"

It became funnier when it caught flak on the opinion section. One of the funniest headlines I have read and the reactions is just priceless!

Ahem, as for the actual bombing, I think the most likely is that it's a domestic group with relatively low amounts of explosives. If the best they can do is a shrapnel bomb despite the low security than I'd say they don't have much else up their sleeves, all we can do now is wait for a claim. On the other hand, this could simply be a case of a psychopath with minor bomb making skills that just wanted to see blood, but it seems too well planned for that. And if we take the Dark Knight route we could also think of the bomber as an anarchist that "Just wants to watch the world burn." and would make an elaborate bombing scheme to prove that the American public is very vulnerable indeed.

I've had minor injuries and lost a bit of blood and meat, but god fucking damn seeing that... I couldn't look away or cringe, either. That fucking guy.

Who cares if people make jokes about this shit, guess what, it's protected speech. Cry all you want about being offended and bad taste, humor is humor, and I for one don't care for those that wish to impose limits on peoples rights to say as they wish.

I found out that the Boston Marathon was paying tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Massacre.

The course was 26.2 miles long, and Mile 26 was dedicated with a special banner.

Also, A group of Newtown families were reported to be seated in the VIP section near the finish line. This was very close to where the bombs went off.

Apparently to those responsible for the attack, the Newton families who lost their children at Sandy Hook DIDN'T SUFFER ENOUGH.

I wouldn't go to conclusions as you never know. It might really be some other extremist group who did it just for the sake of watching people get hurt.

However i do strongely believe that the bombing were related to the families considering the location of the blast and the significance of the event. If this is the case, then this must of been some dumbass gun nut who's angry about his gun bans and wants to take out all of his anger on people that were involved with sandy hook.

I hate life so fucking much because of this. No place is safe from violence.

Regarding this, I see a lot of people on the web commenting about "losing faith in humanity" and that is disappointing to me.

The person or persons who unleashed the catastrophe in Boston earlier today do not represent Humanity. They belong to the human race, insofar as they are a member of our species. But they are not "humanity". They represent a short circuit. A defect. Something gone catastrophically wrong with the mind and soul of a Homo Sapien. So don't look to them to base your hope in humanity in. They are a small, defective minority.

Instead, look at the people who heard and saw and felt a tremendous, deadly explosion and ran toward it. Look at the people who disobeyed every instinctive scream of their bodies to run away from danger and death, and instead ran toward it. I think THAT is what humanity is. Wading through danger and blood and death, even at incredible potential cost to yourself, only to help a perfect stranger.

He's not saying you don't have the legal right to make these kinds of jokes, he's saying that it's ethically wrong, inconsiderate, insensitive, myopic, selfish and juvenile, which it is.

And this is a private website, there is no "protected speech."

Cry all you want about being offended and bad taste, humor is humor

No, it's only humor when it's funny. Cracking a lazy, intentionally bad pun about a violent tragedy mere hours after it occurs isn't humor, and it certainly isn't funny. It's just a crass, pathetic attempt to appear aloof and edgy and get attention.

and I for one don't care for those that wish to impose limits on peoples rights to say as they wish.

Don't be an ass. We're talking about empathy, compassion and basic human decency, not censorship.

My assumption is that this is domestic terrorism. A group though, not lone wolf terrorism or whatever they call that. This is much to low-scale for an outsider foreign attack. Mainly I want to know who would do this and what exactly there motivation is. Boston Police found some suspicious baggage but so far that's the only thing they have to go off of.

According to the Boston Globe, early reports seem to suggest that you're right.

Even so, while I totally understand wanting to know who did this and why, it's still much too early to tell anything for sure and we should probably hold off on speculating. We wouldn't want to stoop to the level of those schmucks at the Post.

Their system of narrowing down suspects is just ridiculous.

An explosion happens and suddenly, it must be the Saudis. So every Saudi national in town is suddenly a suspect, despite them having no evidence of such.

And it looks like 4chan has fucked itself over again.

I was on /mu/ (the music forum) the other day and an anonymous user asked everyone's favorite band. One anonymous user responded "If anyone says Bon Jovi, I'm going to explode a building". Someone cleverly said Bon Jovi, and so the anon responded "15/4. Never forget."

This post was at 11 AM, about four hours before the explosion.

This is the kind of "news" you get when you read a Murdoch-owned paper.

They still haven't issued a retraction. Un-fucking-believable.

Protected speech applies to those who disagrees with you as well, it's a two way street. Free speech doesn't apply to you, if you think so then you're no different than Adolf Hitler and we all know what he did you Nazi scumbag!
