http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploitation_film

To put it simply: an exploitation film is a B-movie that "exploits" played-out themes like violence, sex, etc. They're guilty-pleasure kind of dumb fun movies. Think Hobo with a Shotgun, I Spit on Your Grave, or oh my goodness what the fuck is this.

My favorite would have to be Quentin Tarantino's homage to the genre, Death Proof. (Although the ending was cheesy as fuck.)

Post fun exploitation flicks.

Reefer Madness. It's cringe-worthy, horrible, badly produced, terribly acted, pronounces a message of hate and ignorance, and presents some of the most mindless stupidity ever put on film. Who can go wrong with that?

One of the more successful "weed" films is also the more campiest( if that's a word).
1958's The Cool and The Crazy .
My favorite part is when the members of the local "gang" are sitting in the soda shop, gripping their sides in withdrawal agony wondering when the "pusher" is gonna get them more "M". Probably controversial when it was released, we old stoners think it's a hoot!

Well, since I can't say the name of this movie on the BBS or link to it's wikipedia article since it contains the same word, I'll just tell everyone to google "Boss n-word" without the profanity filter on.

The trailer for it is just magical on its own.

However, apparently I like to trend towards shocksploitation. I used to watch House of 1000 Corpses fairly often, and I still love me some Paul Verhoeven films.

Aside from the title, I didn't find that movie very memorable.

It's just a cliche western with a black guy in it.

Does it count? It wasn't low-budget and didn't rely on violence or sex to get attention. Of course there was violence and sex in the movie. But the violence and sex scenes were hardly explicit. We aren't talking about disturbing rape scenes like in shitty horror flicks like The Hills Have Eyes (the remake of course) and The Last House On The Left.

The sex and violence was there to tell the story and was in no point central in the movie. I'm not blaming you here, Viper50. But the guy who made the list... he must have been on a bad-trip when he watched A Clockword Orange if he thinks it was an "exploitation film".

It has to be Hobo With A Shotgun.

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A SKATE RAPE!
When life gives you razor blades, you make a razor blade covered in razor blades!
I'm taking you on a car ride to hell, you're riding shotgun!

Seriously, how can you not love this movie?

Sex & Fury has to be mine. A Japanese exploitation movie from the 70s that is dumb and you just got to love it. Also Tarantino got many ideas from it when he made Kill Bill.

I only caught a few glimpses of Sex and Fury. Aside from the tits, it looked kinda boring. Hobo With a Shotgun was awesome.

Also, I have Nude Nuns With Big Guns, but I haven't yet watched it. And I was mostly bored by I Spit on Your Grave. The scenes in Cannibal Holocaust with the animals getting slowly killed were worse than the scenes of people getting murdered because those were real. And I remember that guy in the wheelchair in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. poor guy. I thought Jackie Brown was meh, and I found that watching Death Proof once was enough, mainly for the payoff at the end. It didn't do much for me a second time.

And Superfly, lol. That speech at the end.

Anyway, I guess I'd go with Machete and Planet Terror. But that Wikipedia article also included the Lone Wolf and Cub movies and those were awesome. And if you count Drive Angry, that movie was actually badass. I guess I can't be completely sure if certain movies count in some cases, unlike several others like the Troma movies and the like.

Phenomena would have to be up there. Argento is the king of Giallo, and most of his filmography could be considered exploitation.

The Exterminator as a close second.
