I'd only find a HD remake "dumb" if it was just the same game in HD, with no overall graphics recreation (e.g. Halo anniversary), I would have preferred a Majora's mask remake as I am yet to experience some of the older Zelda games.

Phhh the halo anniversary remake was miles better than any sony HD ps2 classic "remake" . So if your gonna complain about that then look at that then your gonna be really shocked when you see what sony and other companies have done for there so called "remakes"

There are other people, different from you, that loved that game and are truly excited about this release.

I kind of liked Majora's Mask a bit better, but I haven't played Wind Waker in at least 4 years since the GameCube disk broke. I'll be trying my best to get the HD version of this.

Sorry I worded that wrong, I meant so say an overall graphics recreation "LIKE" Halo: anniversary, I was really happy with what 343 did, running 2 game engines to run simultaneously to achieve the modern day graphics was amazing. Pure fan-service.

I actually think the remake is a good idea.
In General, Wind Waker was a good game, it just had a couple of flaws (like the LONG boat rides). The creators admitted this and are going to fix it in the remake.

Also, HD graphics on Wind Waker, and the new controls for the Wind Waker itself (as in, the in-game item)? I'm interested.

As a quick add to this, i believe they chose wind waker, since it was the worst sold 3d zelda game ever. By remaking it, they hope to get at least some extra people to play it.
