Flash Brush Smoothing

Hello,

I seem to have a problem with getting a clean line in Flash. I haven't been in the whole animating scene for a few years so I wondered if there was a work around to Flash's bad brush system. Line smoothing is nice, but it always seems to create messy lines, and without it, you get messy lines. A lot of animation I see has good linework compared to older animations, so I was wondering if there's any kind of technique or tips that people use to get cleaner lines, or if it's just a lot of polishing.

Your lines will look a lot better if keep your smoothing as low as you can stand to have it (for me that's between 35 and 40) and then switch to the second smallest brush size and ink your lines zoomed in like 400%
