But, I'm not here to complain about it or it's fandom, I'm just wondering why, suddenly, everyone I know seems to be REALLY into it.
It feels like this happened over-night.
Is it just me, or did everyone suddenly start absolutely loving homestuck?
I blame @Vnzi. Seems like she has been getting everyone she meets on here into that shit.
I love homestuck actually, just because it fits with my tastes.
Again, Vnzi's fault Lol.
Because they like it.
What the fuck are you looking for? It's just a matter of opinion, it's not like they have a logical reason that they can explain to you.

What did I miss?
Maybe it is just me, but suddenly, everyone in my circle of friends, is either obsessed about how much they love or hate homestuck.
Literally, I just woke up one morning on spring break, checked my newsfeed, and the whole thing was full of nothing but homestuck.
Again, I'm not really complaining, I just think it's bizarre.

Dude, that's not what I'm talking about.
I'm not talking about the comic, I'm talking about the sudden phenomenon of everyone suddenly talking about it.
I never noticed that more people started to like homestuck. Although I wouldn't notice since I barely know what it is.

Well from what you described it sounds like someone in your group of friends introduced your other friends to it over a period of a day or two.

Same here
if you need me, I'll be hiding in my bomb shelter.

I haven't noticed this myself, could you link to any particular threads?
As for liking Homestuck; I can see how many would consider it bad. If you're looking for a webcomic with a constant drive in the plot, this may not be for you as there are many occations where the story seems to be derailing to some arbitrary and unrelated plotlines.
The reason I personally like Homestuck is because the characters are so likeable. There's a lot of focus in the way the characters are presented, and a lot of the humour are presented through chatlogs.
I read it up to the point where Jon leaves his room and goes to his living room. That was all I could take.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.
Cereal is pretty cool. If you're cool you'll add me on Steam. Also, Letterboxd.

Much further than me.

It doesn't bother me at all.
I actually use autistic and aspie as insults all the time, myself.
I don't really see what's so wrong with using it as an insult.
I dont know what that is, I guess I live under a rock. Unless your definition of homestuck means 'someone who never leaves the house.'

I would, but it's mostly from my personal facebook account, I'd rather not link that.
I think it might just be me, I'm just astounded by the sudden overnight attention.
You seem to read homestuck, did anything important or especially amazing happen recently?
As for liking Homestuck;
All I have to say about that is french fried mashed potatoes.
I don't care about that webcomic. I read it once, but after having read it a while I stopped, because I didn't bother anymore and I didn't get it. And I never went back to the site.

I just thought it was kinda interesting how so many people I knew just became obsessed with it, over-night.
I've never seen anything like this, before, where something that was present and liked for years just gets a giant boost in fans.

I don't see what the big deal about using it as an insult, anyway. People who get all up in arms about it usually aren't even autistic, or say crap like:
"My nephew, whom I only see on holidays, is autistic, I'm offended durprousoiejsofudrkfeoireru, duuuuuh"
Yeah, unless you or someone else whom YOU SHARE A LIVING SPACE WITH is autistic, it's really senseless to get all angry.
I hate political correctness.

Same.
Me, I really like homestuck but am planning on getting the comic in book format. I just have to order them and they're on my way. I must be outrageously autistic. Lol.

Banging soundtrack, good dialogue, intelligent foreshadowing, quirky self-referencing... the list goes on indefinitely. I mean, Homestuck has a ton of memorable quotes and gimmicky content. It's like a giant oblong sphere of condensed internet memes without all the rigid style of 'hook above picture, punchline below picture'.
As for the silly fans? Ignore them. There's always a stupid vocal majority that can't express their enjoyment of a comic in a more sophisticated manner. If you want to talk about the artistic merit of it's story, the importance of Homestuck in revitalizing the webcomic format, or why people have come to enjoy it in more detail, then feel free to send me a message with detailed questions. I'd be happy to try and expand upon them with as much objective perception as possible.

Probably. I'm still planning to reading the entire comic on the web, I just kind of want a souvenir as well, plus it'll take awhile for them to ship my stuff and by that time I might have already caught up.

That does not make me want to read it at all. . . . .
Look, I can see what it's going for, but it pulls it off in such a clumsy way, it makes me want to rip my hair out.
As for the silly fans? Ignore them.
Yeah, that's almost impossible, these days.

I know exactly how you feel, first time I tried going through it, I couldn't stand it. Every smallest nonsensical thing just had to be dragged out to span hundreds of panels without the story actually going anywhere. I stopped before I got to know any of the characters personalities really.
After retrying, I forced myself to sit through everything, until at some point after Act 1 I got genuinely interested in what was going on and the characters in general.

Don't let them get to you. Making a stand tends to fuel more fanboys and trolls than ignoring them, taking a walk, and letting your head clear. It's a universal point of the internet that can help tune out all the general dumbness.
Similarly, try giving a few expanded points about why you dislike the comic based on the acts you've read. Clarifying your rationale is key for a good discussion. What exactly stresses you out when reading it?
Mental Music for Thinkers and Doers
I don't know. Homestuck just seemed really long and adventurous so I decided to start it and see where I wind up. I like challenges big or small and have read long drawn out things before and this didn't seem any didn't.

After act 1 is actually where I really started to loathe reading it.

I prefer Looking For Group.
