Animation Tournament has begun! Apr. 2nd, 2013 @ 11:24 AM Reply

The Newgrounds Annual Tournament of Animation (NATA) has begun! The Open Round theme is "A New Holiday" and anyone can enter with a submission between now and April 25th. Please read the full post for details, it would really be great to see a big turnout for this and you can partake in the NATA Skype chat that's going on.

If you're an animator and want to feel inspired, check out The Reward!

The guys who made this have a Kickstarter to turn this into an entire series called "Tales of Alethrion." Their goal is $115k and they have raised $87k so far. They are SO CLOSE but only three days remain! Can you help them hit their goal?

Does the theme "A New Holiday " have to be a made-up holiday or can it be any new holiday, because it turns out Swastika day started in 2012.

The Reward was honestly one of the best animations i've seen in quite awhile, and i've been going to this site for a long time. (despite how new this profile is lol)
hope those guys are able to actually make that a real series one day, i'd totally watch it. wish i had the cash to spare for them though, seems like a worthy cause.

Pico day and the competition all sound like they're going to be pretty awesome this year :)

So, I never realized that they credit you back if the project tanks...which changes everything. That was absolutely one of the best videos I've seen on any site in a long time (and I just got my paycheck), so I'll support it if my card goes through and stuff. I think I had issues with this before though since my card can't be verified through Amazon :S
