Well now you're just putting words in my mouth. That's never a good thing and I hope you get better.
I just find it funny how out of touch you are.
I've learned a little bit from this contest and the talent level displayed here was pretty high. I'm just starting so I'll get better.
I liked my submission, but obviously, I didn't place. It's all good though. Just means I'm not there yet.
Congratulations to the top 4 and thanks to Newgrounds for having this contest!
Congrats guys. There were some pretty good entries (midimachine's come to mind). Though all the winners deserved it.
One thing I can say I learned from this is that this contest made me realize making 8bit is more fun than I thought. Who knows, I might try making 8bit again for the lolz. :P

if you want to make 8bit then taking midimachine for a example is the wrong move.
and the typical infantile additute the guy before you quoting me posted im not going to respond to, i have better things to do with my time.
very few actual high profile chip acts are completely foregoing post-production and the ones who do don't make a big damn deal about it.
but ok next time there's a "chiptune" contest we should disallow any post-production or tracker software of any kind and all submissions should be hard coded and burned to an EPROM chip which you mail to brokendeck's house and we have to wait for this guy who has a bit of a sniffle or it just won't be fair!
I was going to type out a whole rant myself but I'll just say a few words.
1.The rules stated that it didn't have to be strictly 8-bit but had to convey a strong video game like element.
2.Don't get mad or talk down the musicians that took part in the contest other just because you didn't. That's very rude and selfish. Be more respectful to the craft, and be respectful to the artist.
3.Don't be so sure that you would have won because it was up to the judges and their opinion. Just because it's a good track to you doesn't ensure you a win.
4.Don't say thing that you can't take back. I know you're vulnerable right now, but think before you type.
Now I hope you get better.
I finally got around to updating the front page audio featured today. Sorry for the delay!

Is there a sign on my front lawn that says "Dead EPROM chip storage"?

lol can't say I blame you.
Oh, missed this thread.
Congrats to the winners, there were tons of fantastic and creative submissions.
8Bitster's track turns me on.
I just heard about it yesterday.
And i made a crappy track as well.
YAH I KNOW IT's NOT STRAIGHT AUTHENTIC 8-bit stuff but it's still chiptune...
So whatevesss, here's what i would have posted.

Don't really care if it's pure 8Bit or semi-pure 8Bit honestly. As long as it sounds good, anything's fine with me.
Sorry to dig up this old thread, but I Always wondered; where can I find BPremo's animation to 8Bitster's winning song? That was the reward right?
Congrats! I did not even know there was a contest :( Would have loved to participate. Maybe next time :D
