Let's just say that GMOs are both good and bad - There's the fact that geneticists (such as my uncle) can increase human life expectancies by engineering food to be more nutritious. On the other hand, we have the fact that such geneticists can abuse their power, and cause certain diseases to appear in those who ingest the engineered food. Which would then require full governmental watch, to ensure that the food supply is not being engineered to kill everyone, which this article is about, more or less. Read the actual bill language. Nothing gives Monsanto or anybody immunity from a valid claim. All it does is disallow TROs while the claim is investigated. Once the claim is investigated the bill no longer applies and the rules go back to normal.
