What brought you guys to NG?

Sure, my profile says I joined last year but I've been a lurker and player here for much longer than that. I was first brought to NG when I got linked to the first Joe Zombie episode from some website that I don't remember. This was either 03 or 04. Also Joe Zombie FTW.

I lurked here for a few years here as well before joining- wanted to comment on videos and communicate with some of my favorite NG artists, as well as be a member of the community.

A friend of mine told me about Perfect Kirby and another friend showed me NG on his dad's computer. I dunno which happened first, but I started regularly looking at the flash on NG sometime in 2002. I didn't join until 3 years later, though.

Back before Unity, Flixel and The Games Factory, flash animators were the big cheese. I discovered Newgrounds through a little flash portal called Flash Portal. I was waiting for a megaman sprite flash to load and mistook the tankman for a preloader game. I haven't gone back since. And for good reason too. That place is dead and rotting now.

Madness combat, buddy interactive, and loads of other flash games was the reason I noticed the site.
After 13-year-old me saw most fun games came from NG, I decided to stick around and check it out.

In turn, my liking to flash games and animations made me want to make my own stuff. I found out there was a flash forum, and they suggested I start drawing before trying to animate, and that's how I got into the art forum. After a year and a half posting and lurking there, I had a hiatus for about two years until quite recently I started posting again, this time on the general BBS.

Iember coming here around the year 2000 and playing SKullkid (about a kid with a chainsaw in an office killing everyone) and that got me to keep coming back. I know this profile is only a few years old, but you lose the internet for a few years forget a password and have to make a new profile every now and then. I think this is my 3rd or 4th one over the years, not completely sure.

At first I thought this was mainly what the site was for, series, because for a while I mainly stuck to the series sections, watching kegel and blockhead and eddsworld. I don't remember exactly what I did on there when I started using the site though....but whatever. I was very young, this guy and I used to play on Newgrounds on the school computer, I never even new what the website was, all I can remember was looking in amazement and the graphics looked so cool, its all a blur asides from that.
The reason I signed up was to put medals on my account or use the BBS if I can remember correctly, good times.
