damn it i only have a tritton headset with a mic on it...quality equals shit in that case =( i dont know if i should do it because of that...

Voice actor wanted advertisements

This is a link to the thread where people (animators, writers, etc) in the Newgrounds community are looking for voice actors. You can audition for any of the recent ones if they fit your vocal range.

Don't expect to be scouted ALL THE TIME. You're going to have to put a lot of effort into making yourself more known by auditioning for all the projects that you can. Only rarely does someone scout for you if they hear your work (your submissions, demo reel, for example). So, audition, audition, audition. That's all you can really do.

Sorry for derailing the thread with this. Figured I would answer the question.

Well it may not win you the contest (don't know for sure since I haven't heard it) but it's still a good way to get some feedback and your acting skills are still noticeable.

@Jay: Actually I tried to scout you several times, but it just isn't working. :/ I would PM Tom Fulp and let him know about the issue. I click to scout you and it reloads the page, but doesn't register. :(

I'm almost finished with mine, and I was just able to get it under six minutes. This should hopefully be a HUGE improvement from my last entry. I should have mine in by either tomorrow or Friday.

I got a question. I'm the leader of a group called R.U.L.E. (Re-Uniting Losers Everyday) and we do martial art live performance, filming, and voice-acting. I usually upload my music here and my group's voice-acting to give them a chance to shine. My question is instead of one person playing a number of characters, can a few people participate in this contest?

The contest is about showing off your individual talent so unfortunately it wouldn't be acceptable. However, each person from your group can feel free to join by submitting separate recordings featuring only their own voices. If they don't have an account yet, they will just need to be scouted by someone already established in the audio portal.

That shouldn't affect it. Either way, we can still listen to it, but it won't be able to get listed or featured in the portal. So in case you get top 4, you may want to let Tom know if you want that front page. lol
