It must do it or else it gets the hose again....
@HOBO: Looks like you submitted the link to the preview version of it. I need you to submit the link after it's already been submitted to the audio portal. Once that's done, be sure to copy the link here again. :)

Added to the list! All depends on the competition, friend... if someone gets in your way just rip out their vocal cords! ...I'm pretty sure that's legit...

I should probably get started on this...
Always willing to voice act. Make music in my freetime. That's what I get for not having Flash

I'd say so... otherwise the rabid ferrets I planted in your pillowcase will end up chewing your ears off.
Here's my entry:
Zane tells Roger about his night at the pub. For Voice Acting Contest 10.
Voice Actor
I'm taking my sweet time in making sure this isn't rushed like my last entry was. XD I want to definitely make sure that it's unique and creative as well as not horribly mixed. Plus, I wouldn't want mine to be the same as everyone else's. So, hopefully I'll be done with it before the end of the month.
Hey, quick question. Can we submit multiple entries if they are different genres? Cuz I would love to do one comedy and one drama sketch.
I'm a voice actor, and I will gladly whore myself out for credit... or pie.

nvm. just saw the answer in the rules.

OK 2 things are impressions allowed or must be original voices? (I either have a big or little arsenal depending on this answer.) And I need to be scouted por favor.

Impressions are allowed but will probably hurt your originality score so do them at your own risk. :p
@JayMyers: Added to the list!
Not sure if I'm entering but, would I be allowed to layer voices for a monster? They won't have pitch editing.

Yes, layering is allowed. :)
nice! okay just a simple question : my english isnt that good so i have to ask!
the theme is "a night to remember" does that mean that we can create our own little story of a night which was so weird or whatever, that it cant be forgotten?
excuse my stupidity

That's sort of the approach I took, so I hope that's okay to do too...also,

A fun night of drinking at the statue of liberty!
Alrighty, here's my submission! Peace yall!
Um...hey there. I read the rules for the VA Contest, and i kinda wanted to give it a try. I've been meaning to start putting out demos and really seeing what I my strengths and weaknesses are as a voice actor (I'm new at this by the way) But I don't have any recording software, so does anyone have any recommendations? Preferably something that's user friendly.
Know they can't fuck wit the Uchiha!

@M4antiis: Yes that's pretty much what it's all about, but of course if someone has a really creative way to interpret it, then that's cool too.
@Jazz: Added yours to the list!
@air67bird: Probably the best recording software to start with is Audacity from soundforge. It's free and it's not overly convoluted. Look forward to hearing something from ya!
Ah hell why not try it?

Added and scouted!
I'm definitely going to attend this contest. I have two questions though:
1. Should I consult the artist of the song I'd like to use or is all the audio free to use at the Newgrounds Audio Portal?
2. Does anybody know a website where I could get free SFX? Thanks!

Everything on NG is available to use as long as you're not using it for something commercial. (Though I'm sure they'd appreciate the notice for the simple fact that it's cool someone's using their music. :p)
As far as free SFX goes, there's a lot of places to go. Freesound.org and soundbible.com are a couple of my favorites.
