If ya love em, hate em, whatever.
I'll personally start with Dark Knight Rises
I love this movie to death, but one thing in particular really bummed me the fuck out.
Remember at the beginning of the movie, how Bruce Wayne was physically worn down from his days of crime fighting? How has has the cane and shit, then he goes to the doctor and the doc goes down a list of things wrong with him. Like his knee being fucked up, and dozens of other things that've gone awry from the crime fighting.
I was excited for this! I was like "Damn, how's he gonna do his shit now?"
But, a couple of Wayne Enterprise toys from Lucius and we never hear about that list of shit ever again.
Hell, even when he's in the fucking pit, the only thing we hear from is his spine being miffed up. After the spine issue is taken care of, it's like whatever I'll climb up, no sweat? oh my knee? walked it off.
Made me pissed. Any thoughts?

Even though the movie was as long as it was, it looked like there was still room for inconsistencies. Personally I liked the Dark Knight better, it was full-out action, all the way, both the prequel and sequel felt too spaced out and depressing. Too much self-loathing and doubt, not even perceptible struggle.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Nolan's interpretation of Superman turns out though. Since he's directing both of these series simultaneously it'll be interesting to see if he manages to keep the characters separate.

I hate them. Does that mean I'm included in this conversation?

Be mindful, the Dark Knight series is over. At least from Nolan, he will no longer be directing Batman movies. I mean, to be honest, I wouldn't be shocked if the production company goes "HAY THIS MAKES MONEIZ WE GET UHM THAT BAY GUY..YA! HE MAKE BATMAN MOVIE AND MAEK US MONEYZ" then they pump out a few Batman movies that only fucks up what Nolan did.
I am excited for the Superman movie..but be mindful that Nolan is only a producer this time around. With the Dark Knight movies he Directed and Wrote the Screenplay (with his brother). So he won't have as much creative input on this.

They've done it before. The Batman series was pretty terrible before Nolan resurrected it, but I assume he'll still be doing the acting?

So far the movies he's directed have turned out great, so I'm hyped! :) Maybe it'll give him a more objective view on how everything plays out when he's not starring. His last attempt, Inception, was a real masterpiece! I don't know too much about his other work though, apart from the occasional roles in movies like Equilibrium and American Psycho.
Another action movie that I can't get enough of is Hard Boiled. If there's any movie like it that I still haven't seen, apart from The Killer, Black Mask and Once a Thief, I'm all ears. Modern filmography just can't match gritty HK action. :)

Well I think the two film directed by Tim Burton are awesome. It was when Schumacher got started directing them all turned to shit.
Anyway I think Dark Knight Rises is the second best out of the Nolan trilogy. It is a much more enjoyable movie than Batman Begins but a big step backwards from Dark Knight.

If those were the ones directed before the ones before Nolan entered, the ones with the original Penguin/Catwoman/Joker, then agreed, they're still great movies. I liked the 1966 version too, even though the effects are just ridiculous. Like that plastic shark pulling his leg...

Still have to watch that one. Still have to watch any Quentin Tarentino movie that I don't know like as well, his movies really aren't that special plotwise, but there must be some special ingredient. They always turn out great. Pulp Fiction was just... perfect.

I disagree with that statement in regards to the Tim Burton movies, which is the 1989 Batman and Batman Returns. Those were really good. It wasn't until Warner Brothers dropped Burton and picked up Joel Schumacher for Batman Forever and Batman and Robin that it really started to suck.
And to be honest, I can't personally blame Schumacher for how those movies turned out. He was under a lot of pressure from Warner Brothers to make the movies more Kid Friendly and Marketable. Because, if you watch the first two Batman movies those are geared towards Adults more than kids.

I don't know if you're trolling or not, but for anyone who has a serious inquiry in regards to this. Batman (Bruce Wayne) does that to hide his voice, since you can identify people by voice.

Writers are severely under appreciated in the movie making process. While producers are necessary to fund the damn things, they think "Well since I'm giving you money, I want (this x 3) to happen." which usually conflicts with the story in some way, shape or form, and looks really out of place.
Creativity should be handled by creative people. Hollywood is primarily running a business.

DKR had major pacing problems.
When he finally becomes Batman again, he gets crippled, then he has to go through the "learning to be Batman again" story arc for a second time in the same damn movie.

Without those, it wouldn't have needed a resurrection. I have nothing against the Tim Burton movies, nor the 1966 version (was that also Burton?). In fact, I hope they'll move back towards the familiar style the movies had back then.

My favorite movie is Ghost in the Shell.
Prime example of what I call "minimalist storytelling"
So much ground is covered in so little time, it's amazing
I guess what I mean is that the pacing is excellent
I didn't like anything about TDKR except Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. She played the character perfectly.

It's an incredibly silly way of disguising your voice. Compare it to how Kevin Conroy plays Batman and Bruce Wayne in TAS. They sound totally different, and he doesn't have to resort to growling at people.

Dude
You should watch Kevin Smith's experience with writing a Superman movie (that never happened).
Hilarious, and it shows you how cracked and up their ass too many producers are

Honestly, I don't know; I stopped seeing/caring about fictional shit and "Entertainment" through visual aspects for a period of time and lost track of the good things in the visual arts of cinema, but I would like to change this.
I also rarely watch TV anymore because it is so overwhelming with new shows and old, and there is literally not enough time to watch it all in...so yeah
