This is just a thread were people can post about games they remember and miss playing. Kinda like a show and tell using memory.

I remember playing pleanty of underrated games, 2 right off the bat are -Rogue Trooper- and -Psi ops the mindgate conspiracy-. Going more back I remember a horror game called -The suffering-, never had a chance to play it but it looked fun!

I also remember Ghost Recon 1 was hard as fump!

Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon were two games I remember playing all the time as a kid. I still have Animal Crossing, and I still play it today.

Oh hey, I remember that one. I used to play that with a friend of mine like 15 years back. It seemed quite obscure to me and I couldn't remember what it was called. Anyway, fun game.

As for me, I miss playing Transport Tycoon. I had it on a floppy disk when I was little and me and my friends used to play it all the time. I lost the floppy though and I don't know where I could find the game nowadays. It's not on Steam, unfortunately.

Starcraft (broodwar) will always be amongst favorite games.

I also wished I still had my old gameboy color. Then I could keep playing my old pokemon games.

I look back on the SNES Battletoads games (Battlemaniacs and Ultimate Team) with quite a bit of nostalgia. Both games were ridiculously hard but very enjoyable due to their varied gameplay design. Very few games feature more than one gimmick, let alone more than one play style.

Just be chill though, we don't need any negative attention or anything. Some things we joke about are über NSFW, hahaha.

Gotta go with the original Digimon World for maximum nostalgia. It might not be an amazing game, but it sure holds value for me in terms of childhood memories.

I remember playing Batman Forever on my Sega Genesis, I could never beat cat woman, but it was fun for me.

Another game I would play endless hours on, was Spiderman for the Playstation.

That game was the shit back in the day. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about it. I'm not sure if it holds up to this day, though. I haven't played it in forever.

I actually played a bit of it the other day. It holds up incredibly well, or at least a lot better than most games from that era do. Playing around with the different costumes is still tons of fun, too.

It was a common problem with the first load of PlayStations. The cooling didn't work too well and it got so hot, that the "CD drive" deformed. In later loads the laser wasn't put right next to the CD drive, so the problems didn't occur anymore.

Playstation:

A very nice list indeed. I remember playing almost all those games as well.

Also, I have very fond memories of the first Diablo game on PC (I even have that game for PlayStation). Very cool game.

I feel like all my old console favorites are the same as anyone's, so I'll stick to old PC games:

Putt-Putt and Pep's Balloon-O-Rama
Pajama Sam in No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside
Backyard Baseball
Myst
Rollercoaster Tycoon
Age of Empires II
Treasure Mountain!
Gizmos and Gadgets
SkiFree
Speedy Eggbert
LEGO Island

Eh, I guess I'll throw in a couple of the odder console games, too:

Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure
Chameleon Twist
Snowboard Kids
WcW vs. nWo: Revenge
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX
Jet Force Gemini

I don't really miss playing anything. If I remember a game I'd like to play, why wait?

Through DOSbox and GOG pretty much all games that otherwise wouldn't work on a modern OS receive new life. In case they don't, there's always the possibility to emulate OS.

There's an exception to this in MMOs, which really do disappear for good in a way that you won't find in any other medium.

True. Some games don't have the same re-playability values as others. I was going to say it's this way for all story-based games, but that's not really true... Oni is a good example of a story-based game I'll never tire of, wonder what the difference is between that and others... the fact that you complete the game based on attained skills rather than consumed time.. maybe.

I really can't recall any games I played that I miss, but anything Doom, Marathon, Quake, Task Maker, Spectre Supreme and Bolo-related is definitely nostalgic...
