as said, I'm a beginner lvl.1 but I'll make something to show for ye (past projects are... ermh)
I'll post sum rough animation this week (in the timelimit of 7 days)

You mentioned you wanted to be an "understudy," but if that means you are going to be uploading continual samples of your own work that are unrelated to the thread, I am sure there is a better place to do that and get the advice you need somewhere else on the forums.

Anyway, I'll give you some feedback about your art.

The boil effect is not very... subtle. the lines might be drawn too far apart on each frame, making it look messy. Try just hitting the smoothing button instead of redrawing it. Also look up on how to add shading to your art.

By no means my intentions were to post my fugly animation tests here (because there are places for that kind of activity somewher else in the forums)

Just made something fast to show that I "can animate" (poorly though).

I have just started my journey here inspired by people like you (true animators).

Feedback for the ice cream cone:

I would work on your smoothing of your lines. If you want to give that "animated feel" to a character without making him look like a mental patient. Try drawing your character then creating a few extra keyframes with the same art and use the smoothing tool. Use it only once or twice otherwise it will over simplify your art.

The mouth FBF looks great actually, I'd personally smooth out the details in the mouth and lips though.

From what I can tell. It looks like you can animate decently, you'll just take time to learn how the program works and to work on your drawing patience.

There are a few things that I'm sure you can benefit from learning to help speed up your animation time. If that really took you 7 hours to do, you did something wrong.

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of contact recently, uni has been keeping me pretty busy, among other things. I shall be resuming progress on my part near the start of May. More or less got a cluster of final exams and assignment deadlines due in the coming weeks.

Part's coming along, but I can only work on it sporadically.

Going for a realistic look on mine with a lot of detail. We'll see how it turns out.

I like it, nice clean style to it. My only real gripe with it is that in some moments, like, there's these spaces of motionlessness that seems to go on a little bit too long. However, that may just be down to my personal preference. Despite that, cannot wait to see the finished product!

Also, is the submission length limit still at most 20 seconds?
