Why do you do drugs?

I honestly want to know. Sell me on drugs, any kind of drugs, like pot and LSD and all that good shit. What does it do for you? Why do you do it? Does the price of doing it justify the effects? How often do you do it (habitually, occasionally or rarely)? and, Is it just a form of temporary escapism or simply the desire to artificially feel the sensation of happiness or calm?

I've never felt the desire to do drugs, my life isn't so bad I need an escape mechanism nor do I wish to have my emotions manipulated artificially, I enjoy being fully sober and in control under my own power. There's nothing in it that appeals to me as far as I know, then again I've never tried any drug so I wouldn't know at all. Which is why I'm curious, if you do drugs, why do you do drugs? What does it offer you that is better than sobriety (if habitual) and if done occasionally, to what extent do these effects prove superior to say, drunkenness?

You can start with Adderall, a pretty legal drug in most countries. Then MDMA, semi-legal (I don't know about US). Don't buy drugs from street, usually they are scam or cop traps. There is better place to get stuff like meth, cannabis and ecstasy...

I started doing drugs because I was initially genuinely interested in what it was like to smoke cannabis. Eventually, I developed my habit of smoking it in order to relieve boredom. This was also my gateway to doing other drugs. Psychedelics are amazing; they have always been able to provide me with a new perspective or understanding of my life, the world I live in and my role in it. Pills are fun and can also be helpful: xanax relaxes me and alleviates anxiety, while painkillers are just plain euphoric and awesome.

If you can be responsible and do it without forming a habit, then it's fine, depending on what drug. There are some that I don't think you should ever try even once, some that you should only do very rarely, and some that are okay to do on a somewhat regular basis, but within reason. That's just my opinion. For example, I don't think you should ever go near crack or heroin.

Alcohol is physically addictive and far more dangerous than cannabis. And cannabis is even safer if you vaporize it.

I haven't smoked pot in several months, but I've enjoyed many times. It occasionally makes me paranoid, but only because it's illegal. If recreation marijuana were legalized, I'd probably be more at ease when smoking or vaporizing it. And I'd like to try psilocybin at some point as long as I can have a trustworthy person keep an eye on me while they stay sober. And I've thought about dextromethorphan, but I'm not sure about it. Other than that, I don't think there's anything I'd be comfortable trying, but I don't judge.

Very smart of you to stay away from pills. I used to have a very serious addiction and am only just now getting over it during my senior year of college. I have friends that been to jail, friends that have been to rehab, and friends that have died because of certain pills. Though I have never been to rehab or locked up behind bars, I have stared death in the face; and I have experienced physical and mental addiction in full force. All in all, it's up to you whether or not a product will run your life, though. I commend you for sticking to pot, something I wish my friends and I had done while we were teenagers.

I do drugs on occasion to have fun. I know I don't need it nore do I crave it. But I do use it with friends that also use drugs. Almost all the time it's pot and I do it usually once a week or two.

Don't bitch about drugs, drugs aren't good for you but they are also not bad for you. Most people who do drugs are not the addicts that people who don't use drugs depict drug users as being. Drug bashers and drug fanboys are stupid, people of the middle ground are the ones who are right.

It just doesn't compute, drugs do bad things to your body, and the only thing you get out of it is a temporary pleasure boost, it's retarded as all fuck to use them on a regular basis, and I would not become friends with someone who does any form of hard drug actively, simple as that
