4.17 / 5.00 16,285 ViewsAlright guys, just really getting back into drawing after years of being a rock star (I once played a gig... it was awesome, the entire 3 people in the crowd went nuts!).
Anyway here is some of my more finished work, seeing as most of my stuff is just sketches at this stage.
Go easy... or not, I don't mind! I need the help!
First up is my "super-arnie"
A green lantern. Still just playing with my figures and also with colour. I have a LONG way to go with colour. Any tips will help!
And finally a Spawn. Same deal. Still playing with figures and colour. I feel I got the right side of him down good, but his left arm is just plain wrong!

What materials have you been using?

Just pencil and paper to begin, then india ink and a brush with some fine markers for inking. Followed by copic markers for the character and prismacolor pencils for the background color.
Hmm, was going to upload some sketch pages, but for some reason the upload button is not working...
any bugs or fixes or reasons for this?
Just a sketch of the flash. Working on building up figures from construction lines.
More sketch stuff. Any advice/tips/etc is welcomed.
And another sketch page. Same deal. Give me your advice/tips!

Are you fucking high?
Good stuff so far, though. Keep going!
Superman and green lantern i like the most. i don't know if you where going for stylized or realism, but superman's hands seems a bit small. I think maybe u where trying to get a good perspective thing going, if so make sure you always go all the way with head to body when it comes to perspective views. kind of like a triangle when it comes to this supermans' pose. It's important to make your character poses strong and interesting when showing them off. i like the muscle definition on superman and your inking is pretty nice as well. lantern done pretty well but again stronger pose. for example: I would probably exaggerate more of lantern's pose. Have him bend back a little more with an angry face as if he where powering up like a super sayign or something. overall you did great job especially since you haven't been drawing in a while. Super duper
KEEPIN It REAL Like HOLIFIELD, RAW like STAR WAR, CLEAN like Mr. CLEAN, MEAN Like Mr. T, SWEET Like SWEET TEA, I BRING THE BOOM!

Thank you for the reply =)
Just about to post up some more stuff. More sequential art type. I took your advice and put my figures in more dynamic/stronger poses. Let me know what you think.
