Shrek 2 is miles better than the sequels after it and actually better than the first one too.

Shrek 1 is full of comedic genius everywhere.
Shrek 2 was pretty decent but doesn't live up to the first movie.
Shrek 3 was meh, were a few funny moments but these all felt cheap and not as clever as the first movie.
Shrek 4 was absolute garbage
So, Shrek 1 was my favourite, and they should've stopped after Shrek 2.

It was mildly okay. Though going off of your list for the movies I'd put it somewhere between the Shrek and Shrek The Third in terms of how much I liked it.

I do enjoy the first, and I'm sure I nearly wore down my DVD from playing it over and over. I don't care that you were made of hate, Shrek, you'll always be love to me.
Second one was absolutely hilarious. On par with the first at least, still debating internally over which is better/
Third is the worst. Riding off the coattails of the second. Not even a new villain!
Fourth, while forgettable, is not nearly as bad as the fourth and has a much more interesting if somewhat wasted plot.
Puss in Boots I've not seen more than 5 or 10 minutes of. All I know of it is the Lady Gaga song "Alejandro" that plays in it. That alone excites me though.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.

The fourth was undecent, i didn't liked the third as much at the first two, the first two were good.

the first two were A+ but everything after that was just total shite. didn't even know there was a puss in boots movie until it popped up on tv, and it was as disappointing as i'd expect of a spin off movie from a character with as much personality as i can fit in a thimble.
