The BattleBlock Theater release date has been announced! Watch this video to see what it is.

I'll be at PAX Boston this weekend at the Behemoth booth, so be sure to stop by and say HI if you're at PAX!

In other news, Pico Day is April 27th and has been updated with some cash prizes. Wish I could do more but we're also putting up $2k for the Newgrounds Annual Tournament of Animation and thousands of dollars for new tank trophies for the Annual Awards!

Currently we have a bunch of wax tanks ready to be melted by molten bronze and we got a better quote from another foundry. THINGS ARE HAPPENING. I should take pictures.

Four days remain to contribute to the NATA Prize Fund, I would really like to see this get as big as possible because big prizes ensure big participation! The Open Round begins on April 1st, everyone who likes to animate should give it a shot and see what happens.

There is also an ongoing Construct 2 Game Jam where participants are developing touch-based HTML5 games and the best ones get prizes.

PsychoGoldfish made a bunch of Medal updates but made one more after that announcement. If you check out someone's medals for an individual game, you can click a link to compare their medals to yours and see who got what and who was first. We still need to add the ePenis meter but the length of medals in each column is kinda like an ePenis and the "1st" notifications are like who has a harrier ePenis.

Video publishing has been updated and is in an intermediate state at the moment. Previously, video uploads weren't processed until the project was published. This caused some confusion for people trying to preview videos that didn't work without being processed. We now put your video into processing as soon as it is uploaded, but you currently can't publish it until it has been processed. This will ultimately change so that you can hit publish immediately, but the publishing will remain queued up until the video has been processed.

I'm very much looking forward to all these NG related events.

I'm glad to see that the Tank Awards are still happening. Better late than never I guess.

As for BBT, it looks like incredibly fun, and I'd like to get it. I'll be looking forward to the possible PS3 release.

I've been worried / depressed that I might announce winners and not be able to afford to make the trophies, but at this point I'm just gonna pay to have them made regardless of whether NG can afford it. It helps that we got a better deal though.

The medal update thing is great and all. But I wish it wouldn't work when the game was still unreleased. Since I've seen tons of games where the developer would be the first to get the medal, some even multiple days before it was released on newgrounds.

Last years Pico day was terrific, in that the lowly user could see and speak to the producers of NG in the featureless chat room. Is there anyway something like that could be set up this year (in absence of an office party)? Maybe the mods and some of the staff could take turns going on the webcam, showcase their favorites, spread a little gossip?
