One could argue electro is all music the is made using electronic all music technology and instruments. Of course this is simply too broad to say "you don't like this genre" because dubstep, house, and electro house are all genres heavily relying on electronic music technology.

You could argue "[...] doesn't like good/quality electro", but then it becomes completely subjective. You may want to clarify what sub-genre you believe they don't like.

No, electro is a genre meaning it needs to have cretin elements to be considered Electro. Skrillex is not bad Dubstep it is Brostep. Music is not bad for being experimental or not fitting into a genre it is just not a part of that genre. It's as simple as that.

Electro uses beat machines, is heavily influenced by hip hop instrumentals and funk. It's been around for quite some time.

I didn't even know all these distinctions existed. (are all those Jazz distinctions really necessary?) Shoegazer and Shoegaze are two different styles... I'm also surprised they haven't included Microhouse and Minimal Techno as these are often used by music journalists. Oh well, I guess tagging both Techno/House and Minimal has the same effect. (why couldn't they do this for all those Jazz distinctions too?)

I wonder if there exists a script that tags my library according to Discogs definitions. My digital library is a huge mess, I can usually only find an album if it suddenly pops up in my head. Thank god for ` - insert x amount of random songs/artists/albums.

From what I understood, OP meant "electro" as a more general term covering electronic music influenced songs. There's no need to make fun of a mistake they made unknowing of the specific sub-genre.
