They have been getting a ton of donations but frankly i don't know what these'benefactors' think they are doing. Newtown went through a big loss of life not loss of property. Unless they are funding a program working on bringing back the dead or planting recognition sentry guns and landmines to protect their schools this money is completely useless in respect to what happened. If these 'benefactors' want to help someone then they should focus on their own town or someplace that is going through a physically hard time right now. I live in Connecticut and about an hour away from Newtown and know someone who lost someone in the shooting. They are equally confused as I am.

The town is just trying to make money on the back of the victims. They don't really care about them and the money will go somewhere else.

This.
I agree with this statement. Even though I'm sure the people who organize these donations for the Newtown victims probably care about the victims' families and the community of Sandy Hook altogether, to some extent, I would not be surprised if they use a lot of the donation money for their own benefits. It's probably a fraud.
