I think I've probably put some money in a Red Nose Day collection thing at a supermarket or whatever, but I've never phoned up on the night and handed over my bank or card details.

I hadn't heard of this day before the post. No I haven't donated yet. When I read 'Comic Relief' I was thinking oh hey, I just funded an indie panda comic, but it turns out that's completely unrelated. :/

It's a big deal here in the UK every year, raising millions for charity. Schools all over the country did fancy dress and special events today (where I work we had a trip to the zoo for the day- I like getting paid to go to the zoo I've decided!)

Saying that I've never called up on the night either. I've supported local appeals and events plenty over the years, and never felt the need to donate a lump sum. The TV is always great though, with lots of old comedy shows coming back for one off episodes (The Office and The Vicar of Dibley tonight I've heard).

Not bad so far- a few decent parts, and some dull things aimed at the kids... should pick up as the evening goes on and the kiddies go to bed.
