Transparent Avatar help.

As the title suggests, I'm just trying to use a transparent avatar.

I'm new here, and I usually try to kick it off strong. Transparent Avatars are always a little cool to see, but that's besides the point. I just like having one as well. The problem is, it appears to me as it comes out as only being a normal black avatar.

I have tried with PNG as well. Currently, the picture I uploaded is a gif. Maybe it's just my computer. I tried Ctrl - F5'ing to clear the cache, but it still only appears with black behind it. If anyone could help with this, or even just make it transparent for me, I'd be very grateful.

To add into it, when I put it into the "Include Image" part, it also shows up as transparent. No idea what I'm doing wrong here.

Checked that. Problem is, the first post's link to the background image that people can make their own avatar with is broken apparently. At least it is when I click upon it.
