I personally hate tablets, but sadly, I think they're here to stay.
I'll definitely stick with laptops.

A lot of people, especially older people prefer the tablet platform, it's much easier to understand than a normal computer.

You cant put 'Apple' and 'innovation' in the same sentence

Every electronic device that exists RIGHT NOW will be made obsolete in a couple of decades. I can't wait to see tablets go on their way out.

They seemed outdated right from the start....we can do better than that.

Or maybe the creative types will always find their way to desktop computers, and everyone else will just keep consuming like most people do already. I can see people using tablets for animation and audio work but it's hard to picture serious programming work or game development ever getting done on one.

This is something I've wondered about too. Everyone's all fired up about desktops and (traditional) laptops becoming obsolete, but I feel like they're just thinking of computers as entertainment devices only.

My Windows has been fine for 6 years and its been cheaper upgrading it and my hardware rather than buying an expensive new Mac.

Also top tier Android phones work far better than the iPhone.

We're already there. We've got things like the Ultrabook and the Surface.

As of now, laptops are far more powerful and thus useful than tablets. I know for sure that I will buy a laptop for college rather than a tablet.

I imagine that tablets will eventually have more raw power and memory than laptops and will then replace laptops.
