I find the majority of it to be shitty.
There is some really good country out there though, just as almost every genre has some really good music.
Though I've yet to find any dubstep that I've liked.

This is how I feel too.

All I ever said was that country and blues is two completely separate genres, and they are.
You have to be deaf and lacking in knowledge to not be able to tell the very obvious difference between the two.
People have like opinions and stuff ya know

"I'm a douchey country hick who drinks and drives smokes my lungs out and fucks every farm girl I see and I like to drive down dirt roads in my truck while wearing a full cowboy getup yada yada yada blah blah blah"
And the music that goes along with it is just absolutely atrocious, few things offend my sense of hearing more than country.
I couldn't have put it better myself.
The singers all sound the same. The instrumentals all have the same crappy sound. My school bus plays country on the radio. The teachers put that shit on when the students are working. I can't escape it. I can escape it on my bus because I'm allowed to use my iPod then.

But he still fucked up by saying that country and blues is the same thing
You sure like to talk about things you have no knowledge or experience of.
No knowledge or experience?

That really, really didn't change my mind.
Actually, I've heard dubstep that I've disliked a lot less than this.

LIke what?
I cant say I dislike country, but I really don't listen to it that much.
Emma has MANBOOBS!!!! BE AFRAID!
it just sounds annoying.
and the song writers talk about the same shit
I don't listen to country music often
But when I do, I prefer Johnny Cash
Improper. Out of place. Unpleasant to the ears.
I am always correct till I am proven otherwise.
Because they're idiots. There's a shitload of awesome country music if you dig past the Toby Keith crap.
Talking about Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, David Allen Coe, etc.
I don't like it because my wife left me for my dog and my pickup truck blew a sparkplug.
I don't hate country....Taylor Swift is the only singer I prefer in the genre though...otherwise, rap or r&b are my favs.

Although I'm not a fan I suppose not all county is bad, but then again I haven't really been exposed to true country music. Unfortunately the country I'm stuck listening too at work is all the popular contemporary crap. which I have grown to despise with a passion. We have come to the point where Rap, Country and Pop really all don't sound all that different from each other. The music industry has really become oversaturated and domesticated.

Even past them, Johnny Cash is really the only good country singer there was

As if I remember XD
I still didn't like it, so I didn't care to remember what it was.
I found the video you posted to be really boring, to be honest.

I don't have it, but I prefer to listen to other genres. It's probably because most country music is cliche, pointless and/or depressing and/or corny. Some songs are creative or humorous, but most of the ones I heard were more catchy than they were meaningful. Maybe the same reasons why I don't like most mainstream pop music.
I'm into some country, not much I can name off the top of my head though. Doc Watson is one of my favorites. Not exactly country, but the Dixie Dreggs are a pretty cool southern/prog band.
As for countries origins, it's hard to say. In it's most basic form, it's a mixture of blues, gospel (of both colors), and Anglo-American folk styles, namely of the Appalachian variant. It also has ragtime elements, as well Western Swing (Though a lot of that is now considered country now).

It's just pop for rednecks.
I think Jonny Cash would disagree.
I tried, later then.
