Best book I've read in a long time 2013-03-10 15:11:18 Reply

Feel free to chime in with your own, but I picked up this little number for free on Amazon today. It's called A Vagrant story. It's probably one of the most original stories I've read in a long time. This is what I love about ebooks. I haven't been wowed by a paper book in a long time yet almost weekly I'm picking up awesome books on amazon, sometimes for free like this one. I mean when was the last time you heard of an ORIGINAL story coming from a traditional publisher. All the innovators are online now. This one is about four homeless people who find a suicide note and choose to find the fella before he carries it out. Very touching story all round, though it is a bit long.

http://www.amazon.com/A-Vagrant-Story-ebook/dp/B00BR4MKS8/re f=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362938947&sr=8-2&keywords=a+vagrant+st ory
When four homeless people find a suicide note they vow to save the man who wrote it before he can carry it out. With only until New Year's Eve to track him down they follow clues in the note which lead them on a journey across the city.

Having long hidden in the darkness of the gutter, the four must finally return to the world they left behind and inevitably face the demons of their past they've long been running from.

They find a city corrupted, over run with turf wars and violence. The people tremble as a serial killer stalks the midnight air. The police appear to have given up hope in catching him. This killer is seemingly unstoppable. Unstoppable, until his path crosses with that of four hapless bums. The last thread of hope lies in each of their hands as their journey to save one manâEUTMs life causes them to save many.

What other great ebooks are out right now? I love digging this stuff up. You never know what you'll find.

Thats sounds pretty awesome can't wait to read it. I just wish there was a paperback edition for it, but I suppose the way things are going technology wise digital is on the rise but to me there isn't anything like physically holding a book you know? Pity it isn't but oh well, I look forward to reading it when I get the chance! Cheers for the post!

I was expecting this book to be unappealing. Judging by its synopsis, I figured it would primarily appeal to teenagers. While it is certainly true that this book is more likely to appeal to a fifteen year old as opposed to a twenty five year old, I am enjoying it nevertheless.

I just thought it was an interesting and fun read. I don't really go too indepth into reading books, I just pick it up and see if I like it. That's kind of why I like James Patterson books. Yeah sure, there's all that stuff about how he doesn't write his own books, but his ideas are so good it just keeps me hookd. I don't see anyone else putting good ideas out there like he does. If the book is entertaining I'll let everything else slide.
