My ex-fiance got denied like 3 times and she has schizophrenia, bi polar, fibromialgia, cystic fibrosis, and like 12 other things wrong with her that she's been diagnosed with. She told me they deny everyone at least 3 times before anyone is approved. THey do it that way hoping you will eventually give up before the third time around.

We're co-writers and we've finished our book. We're having people proof read it and then we're going to find an agent to represent us. Only one of us needs a job because our current situation doesn't need two. We're just supporting ourselves her job until we make the writing thing work, which we will do. If we can't, then we're killing ourselves anyway. She has no intention of cutting me off and we have no intention of breaking up.

We wouldn't be the first writers to find an agent for our first book.
I've done enough research to, more or less, know the process.
If we can't find an agent, then we'll find a smaller publisher. If that doesn't work, we'll go the self-publishing route, though that truly is our last resort.

Neither. Our book is about a girl with a blood disease that her town perceives as being an affliction of Satan and her growing relationship with a boy that she once fervently hated. At least, that's the summary in one line.
