Animation size question 2013-03-07 09:21:54 Reply

Hi there!.Well im doing a animation in 640x360 size. But i want to save and publish it at 1280x720.How can i do this automaticaly? I mean, duplicate the size of the animation.I see that you can change the size of the animation when you publish it in avi or something like that, but i want to see if i can change the size BEFORE publish it.When i go to properties of the documment and i change it,the space work become bigger, but the frame is the same size than before, and i have to make it bigger manually,so,is there a way to duplicate the size in a few steps?

Thanks.

resizing upon publish is actually a DPI multiplier, and since swf's don't deal in DPI it can't be done. you should always try to work at or close to the actual size you want, and make adjustments later on.

You could always put it all in a graphic and scale that up. :)

What he said.
Insert your whole animation into a graphic symbol and resize it by 200%.
Make sure that you scale the stage dimension too.

Forget the graphic symbol. Cut and paste all the frames and layers of your animation into a movie clip.

When u have other graphic symbols in your animation they wont play and its pretty frustrating.

hope it helps.

Also,
I recommend to start your animation on 800 x 450. Thats the stage size I use amongst many others.

The best way to do it is to get a vcam, make it the same size as your animation (640x360), and set the stage to 1280x720. The vcam will automatically set the animation to the same size as the stage. Make sure the vcam's x and y coordinates are right (I think 0,0).
