That does seem like a real paradise. Hard to believe it was just a prison island from the start, why didn't all the people just move to Australia and leave the prisoners at home? That would've been wiser...

The length doesn't really factor into how easy it is to say... more like...

USA = 3 syllables
America = 4 syllables

Same thing though.

The United Kingdom is a country now?
I thought it was: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

To live in? Probably New Zealand as the most similar to home (UK)
For the food? Definitely Italy (it would also be my choice to live if I spoke any Italian at all)
For the people? Cambodia hands down.

There be no other! Oh, ok, Bhutan. If the world's a desert, that place is like an oasis. No war, just peace, and harmony, and love and care and understanding! That's where all the goodness in the world is hiding.

Seems like a great place but its very corrupt, isn't it?

Would nominate Costa Rica alone a similar line of reasoning though.

Is it? I've only watched documentaries, but they really made it seem like the perfect place. Instead of GDP they measure how happy the people are. The king was pressured by other countries to make the state a democracy, but the people didn't want a change. It looks pretty nice too, lush green forests, mountains, not much people... seems perfect ! :)

Would nominate Costa Rica alone a similar line of reasoning though.

It's not perfect, I lived there a couple of years, lots of pickpockets, my sister had her purse snatched once, the bus drivers were always competing with each other so bus rides were crazy. Lots of traffic accidents. But at least they don't have an army, that's one great thing about the place.

It's gonna have to be Norway then, I respect them lots.

They have a proud military history.

I don't really have a favourite country due to the fact that all of them I am interested in have at one time or another have had massive racial/religious purges. Such as Russia, Japan, China, Great Britain, France, Germany, America. So no, I don't have a favourite. There are just things I like from some. Others I'm just not interested in.

I am from Spain, currently living in the US but had lived in Brazil and Venezuela (that last one is a dangerous hellhole right now)

Those are parts of the United Kingdom. I think the official name of the country is the United Kingdom. Whenever I look in Guinness World Records, and it mentions someone from there, it says "UK", so according to GWR, that's it's official name. England is just a part of it.
