Anybody who is feeling insecure about the sequester, these MIT interest you.
Many air flights will be cancelled or delayed.
Very few teachers will lose their jobs.
Very few homes will burn and many people will be safe.
Many criminals will be prosecuted and put behind bars.
Many federal programs will be cut. Hopefully Social Security isn't among them.

It's simple we have a dept problem. A normal person in dept would cut his/her expenses. Stop going out,spend less, buy what they need to survive not wants and so. In regards with social security it needs be cut, the more people on it the less the nation progress. If people don't have jobs they don't pay taxes when they don't pay taxes the county doesn't gain money. So if every body is on food stamps and nobody is paying taxes. The county just prints money until its deeper and deeper in dept.
I don't know about this fellas

Yeah, but when a regular person stops spending, it doesn;t cause their income to be lowered accordingly. Nor does it dramatically stall an already sluggish economy.

uh, yeah it is? the government is a corporation, and corporations are people . . . i'd have let it fly if you said the government isn't a normal person, but at least try to think about what you write before you post

The government isn't a person but it isn't a business either.
I've heard this soundbite before, you really shouldn't listen to political pundits. There are some people who continually push for more spending whatever the situation, if you ask then to set limits they say "oh if debt ever reaches 100% of GDP we should think about cuts" so no one catches on, then 5 years later when it crosses the 100% threshold they say "oh if debt ever reaches 200% of GDP we should think about cuts".
It is part business, part consumer and often whether government spending is economically productive or not is difficult to tell. For instance parks. You could say parks are a luxury, or you could argue that there would be private parks if the government didn't support any and that the government is more efficient at managing parks than private enterprise so in this case the government is more efficient at spending money which results in an effective increase in money and so therefore it is being economically productive. You could say roads are economically productive, and certainly the maintenance of major highways is, however sometimes the government builds roads to the middle of nowhere just because it looks good on paper. A new asphalt coating for the road to some largely deserted mining town in the middle of Arizona might benefit the locals slightly but is it worth the expense put on everyone else? Maybe instead the road should be surveyed and areas showing signs of erosion reinforced.

;;;;
So far , the best explaination to what the so called sequestor crisis actually is doing .
Someone got a better explaination than this one please post the link .... I am still seeing American Airplanes coming into our Canadian airport.
American security personel are still screening passengers heading to the USA here.
I believe its a mountain of bullshit being used to deflect the real problems & that is you are still falling further & further into debt & your reductions are too little & possibly too late .
Those who have only the religious opinions of others in their head & worship them. Have no room for their own thoughts & no room to contemplate anyone elses ideas either-More
