It's people like you who convince people to believe stupid shit like that. IDGAF if you're a troll or not because some people actually belive this. Let's be realistic, Android phones are not ALMOST as sturdy as iPhone. Which phone has a really fragile screen? So that you have to buy a 30$ case. That's the iPhone. The sturdiness on Android phones will depend, but you get the choice do decide between many different kinds of phones. Mine has Corning Gorilla Glass, like many other Android (and some Windows) phones.
I have a HTC One X, but have owned Samsung phones in the past. Right now? It really depends. My sister has an SIII and thinks it's too big (yes, that's what she said). But I've also used (quite extensively) the iPhone 4S and 5, and in experience I don't think it's a viable upgrade. I really like the screen on the SIII, the iPhone 5 seems a bit lackluster in terms of the hardware it's packing - even more so than other iterations of the iPhone.
Get whatever you want really.

Unfortunately the iPhone has become an ordinary phone. It doesn't even have NFC support yet, and features a dated UI.

i'm picking up on some post-purchase rationalization, here . . .
I knew what I was doing when I bought my phone and I don't regret it. Look at this comparison. I know specs are not everything, but where the iPhone does score higher than LG Optimus 4X HD (my phone) is in popularity and price group.
maybe you'd be able to see which phone is clearly the best if you weren't so biased and influenced by google's android agenda *sighs*
I'm biased? And you're not? I'm open to changing my opinion on things and I don't care about the brand on my phone. Not to mention that Android has different manufacturers. While not all of them have the best phones, at least some of them must be doing something better than Apple, right? It's not like I only care about Android either, I've tried both iPhone and Windows phone. Windows phone is where the Metro UI belongs, it's pretty good but it's also new so it doesn't have a lot of apps. I've also read about Ubuntu phone, looks pretty cool. Blackberry is going downhill. Not sure if they will survive for much longer.
Gandhi would be disappointed.
I have been saying this for the last year..
In 10 years apple will be phased out completely and the FAR SUPERIOR ANDROID will be thriving and will be bending over backwards to not only keep blacj berry afloat and in business.. But make products that will eventually equal the professional quality and fun experience that users flock to

Why don't you try to contradict yourself a little more? Looking forward to your 1000th post btw.

And this is why apple users are idiots..
Apple markets to sheep
Few years ago everyone was clamoring for an iphone because it was a superior product to what was on the market
Now the tables have changed and we currently see what was it? 71% of phones are android.. Because android makes a far supperior product and they are still only in their infancy.
Iphones will only ever be iphones..
Androids are starting to branch out into things like the google glasses.. Or the omni arm band... Or the the body suits hat are still on the drawing board..
He only reason this pathetic argument is going on still is because apple user who stick with apple think they are providing a competing product to the quickly spiraling out of control (in an upward motion) industry known as technology
Apple is failing
Pc's are falling as well
Xbox is doing ok
Playstation is failing
Androids are thriving
And the only reason that is going to argue with that is that they are caught up in the one off.. Oh look at that! Thats cool! That must be hot when in reality the tunnel vision is blinding them to the tidal wave of power that companies come forward with

Well I have the first gen ZTE Blade.
I seriously don't understand why people waste money on a expensive phone since my phone got more than enough cpu to go around, with slightly tweaked settings the battery duration is insane and it has held toghether for 2 years now.
Running CM9 atm for those who care about that stuff.
The reason why Android has such a high market share is because of their low-end devices (which helps a great amount in countries(people in those countries) that aren't very rich or value splurging a high amount of money for a phone). Of course they are going to have a higher % because of their variety in devices. But that doesn't make them better, especially when talking in terms of which high-end devices are better or worse. Market share isn't everything, and I would imagine more people (at least where I live, Canada) carry an iPhone rather than a high-end Android handset.
At 3/1/13 10:37 AM, supergandhi64 wrote: i'm pretty sure the contradiction is on your part. the part where you say you don't care about brand, but then go on a tirade about apple, to be specific.
I have used Apple products, I have seen the stats of Apple products and I've seen what the company Apple is like. Now like many other companies and brands Apple have and probably will change over time. But right now their products are overpriced and overrated compared to competitors. And they claimed that they had theoretically lost money because Samsung wouldn't let them dominate the smartphone market, basically why Apple sued Samsung. This has left me with a bad impression of Apple. That doesn't mean it's possible for them to change, but I doubt that will happen. Of course if Apple did change, then I would possibly change my opinion on it.
The price and specs of products are facts that can easily be verified. Sure, there are other unmeasurable things that could depend on what is the superior product (such as few viruses on Mac), so if there was enough of those things to convince me into thinking that Apple is better... Then I would think Apple is better. It's the same with other products. But what brand a product has does not make it better than a product of another brand, maybe you think so since you said Apple has the best phones?
i'm very careful to be consistent in my opinions (in my opinion)
Are you implying that you are never wrong? Or that if you were proved wrong, you would just deny it?

nah, the higher end ones are more popular than iPhones too because theyre pretty much superior in every way including price. The only reason to get an iPhone is to show off.

Exactly, I dont know why its so hard for a lot of people to research a little into things.
God I love my SIII. Wrapped up in a nice slick TPU case. I try to get everyone I see with an SIII to check out how their phone feels with my case on it.. so slick, so strong.
Gotta protect my baby. And that screen... it's gorgeous. So quick too... mmm.
Never have I ever been so happy with a phone. My last two smart phones were HTC and were nice out of the box, but two months later: utter shit.

True for some people, not for others. For example, I started with an iTouch. Nothing really like it at the time. I found it so useful that I decided to get an iPhone. I started with the iPhone 3G. There wasn't anything else on the market like it. All the Android phones were shit until the past 2 years. From the iPhone 3G I went to the 4, then the 5. At this point the Android phones have caught up, or passed the iPhone, in some ways. However, if you've had an iPhone since the early models and they do what you need there isn't much reason to switch. I would lose a ton of apps, etc. For me my iPhones have been very reliable devices for many years now.
Also just about everyone my wife and I know have iPhones, so we can text for free, Facetime, etc.
I don't know of a single feature on an Android phone that I wish I had on my iPhone. Maybe someone could point out some cool Android only features that would make someone want to ditch an iPhone.

I don't own a smartphone, but if I did I'd probably get an Android phone like the Galaxy S3 or something. I own an iPod Touch and a Google Nexus 7 tablet and it turns out it's the little things that make me lean towards the Android side. Stuff like quick brightness, battery, wifi toggles, etc. that are a pain to do in iOS are so much more convenient on Android, and they have so many downloadable apps and themes that let you customize your phone in ways that you would only be able to do if you jailbroke your iOS device. I'm not a huge widgets person so I won't get into any detail about that.
I think Apple dominates with their iOS music player, so if you like listening to music I'd suggest sticking with that (even though iTunes is a pain in the ass). The iMessage thing they do is pretty cool too.
I'm not saying these are features you have to have or anything, but they're just some cool things I like about Android.
