Microsoft has always copied and tried to "improve" on things other companies pioneered, not really much of a surprise they've been gunning after google.

Personally I hope Google and Apple dp the shit out of Microsoft.

Microsoft knows that they will never "beat" Google, but that isn't the point of Bing. The purpose of Bing is only to drain some users away from Google and hobble their search profits by about 20% or so. At this stage every little bit counts. It is about weakening Google more than anything.

Actually, I just recently switched my homepage from Google to Bing. I've been wanting to turn myself on to more of Microsoft's products because it's one of the few American based companies I like and I feel they're falling behind a bit. This effect also keeps Google from monopolizing the search game, competition is always a good thing, ask any economist. Of course, Apple and Google both being American based as well, I do purchase some of their items, not much of apple save their phones and apps and such because I don't want to fuck with a Mac, and I'm always on YT and such.

I like keeping these companies competing while hoping for a drop in production of Sony, Nintendo, Toshiba, etc. I also try to avoid Chinese products if a buck higher US equivalent is available (sadly there are few) I guess I'm just a Macro Economics thinking kinda guy, just tryin' to help the US one buck at a time.

It's Microsoft. What do you expect?

I have literally never even been to Bing. I go to Google every time I use a computer.

I don't think they are trying hard enough, because I really can't stand bing.
